The Riddler- The most threatening villain yet!

He only got one episode but I have to say that Riddler left a huge impression on me. He was really entertaining and he even managed to come across as intimidating and a huge threat. I loved Telltale's take on the Riddler. He was really good. Unfortunately he only got a single episode but thankfully he was fully utilized. He really did a lot. Think about it, in a single episode he took a dear friend from us, really making our fight personal. I loved that final scene fight with him too, when he intentionally gave us easy Riddles to hurt us. That moment where he makes you say Lucius was great!

So overall while I'm disappointed that he's already gone I loved the Riddler in this game! Share your thoughts about Telltale's Riddler. :)

He died early because main threat is actually Joker.

I liked his role in episode 1 but some of his lines were lame. Even you beat him with an inch of his life he will still think that you cant kill him which is not so smart for a guy like Riddler. Still, usually we can safely say that he got portrayed well.

  • He filled his role as the "episode 1 villain" in a fantastic way. Much more interesting than Falcone in Season 1. And I get why some people would've liked to see him stay around for the rest of the season. However, I feel like he's a bit of a one trick pony with his riddles, and served better as a villain to set up the plot and introduce us to the Pact. We'll have to see if the other villains of this season can reach his level, I certainly hope they will. And John Doe's development to becoming the Joker will surely be interesting.

  • True fact: If you returnt to the batcave, you can go to the "room" with the villains and see in the right the stick of his

  • He was already my favorite Batman villain to begin with, so it was pretty cool to have him in the series.

  • Carmine Falcone was leap and bounds better. Why? He was realistic. He was a criminal businessman relying on wits.

Sure, Riddler does. But that's just not what makes a character interesting. Riddler was not realistic with his goals ans motivations.

  • What was so unrealistic about the Riddler?

  • Well, we are talking about a story based on comic books. Falcone may have been more realistic, but realism isn't exactly the first thing I worry about when playing Batman.

  • It certainly is when I play season 2 of Telltale's Batman.

  • I'm disappointed to see him getting the boot so early, but at the same time the official episode 1 description pretty much laid it bare from the start : he was always meant to be sacrificed for the plot to advance.

I would have liked to learn a lot more about his history with the Agency. He only hinted at the fact that he may have worked with them.

This is of interest to us since we are about to discover how the Agency treats its assets once they are no longer of any practical use. I don't trust Waller not to feed us to the wolves once she is done with us.

Hence why some of us have toyed with the idea of letting The Pact "deal" with her since maybe John Doe can help there. Like "hey Brucie I know the jerkass is getting on your nerves lemme take care of it for ya".
Of course that would be totally out of character for Bruce to willfully allow someone to be killed.

I'd prefer law abiding people. No one goes rambo like the Riddler and kill people and take hostages.

  • Sure, you want the villains to be realistic, for me it isn't that important as long as they are interesting. We can agree to disagree.

  • Then you're playing the wrong game.

  • Falcone was law abiding? No, he was a known gangster. The Riddler was deranged. Normal people wouldn't go on a killing spree but Riddler wasn't normal. Even Alfred points out that he needs help.

I'm LMAOing at all the people who think that just because the Riddler is dead he wont be mentioned ever again and we wont find out more about him. We will obviously get Riddler's backstory and his relationship with other members, hence having the character being more explored, and then, memorable.

    Right Telltale?

    Ye?

You're not going to create a great first episode and fuck it all up from there, are you?

  • puzzel genus ded. me sad.

  • I have a feeling that you are going to hate Harley Quin. I hope she doesn't have an awful voice as she does in the Suicide Squad or the Arkham game... it is SO grating. Actually, do you hate all the villains? Or is hate too strong a word?

  • I fucking loved the Riddler, and I dont even really know anything about Batman beyond like, common knowledge, I dont read the comics, Ive watched some of the movies but thats all, I am kinda sad that the Ridder is gone already, since he was really interesting to me, and his voice actor was the fucking bomb (same guy that does Miller in MGS V)
