Reasons why Kenny is the only person who makes sense.

First of all let's use our heads. Okay, first Lilly. I'm not saying it isn't Lilly, I'm just saying it's highly unlikely. Clementine knows Lilly was in the military and can handle herself, even when stranded on the side of the road or because of a radiator being useless after 30 miles. Plus, Clementine has no reason to believe she is dead.
Next up, Molly. Molly makes less sense than Lee or Glenn. She specifically said in front of Clementine she is fine on her own and doesn't need a group. Also, Clementine has no reason to believe she is dead.
Lee makes as much sense as Larry surviving a salt lick to the face.
Glenn is either with Rick (TV Show) or I believe dead (Comics).
Next, Michelle. If Christa had time to mourn Omid, she probably made sure Michelle was dead.
Sorry but BrOmid is gone :(.
I believe the cancer patients specified Vernon is gone. Whether he's dead or not. I don't think Clementine believes he is dead.
The man you give water to (Victor), is a good answer too. However, I don't think he is alive. If he is, he probably is resting.
Lee is 100% dead. There's no probable chance a dead-eye shot like Clementine would miss the shot. Even if you leave him, he becomes a walker. Lee cut his arm off a little too late.
While Christa does make sense, Clementine doesn't think she is dead. And Christa told Clementine she doesn't trust other groups. Why would she lie to Clementine? I believe Telltale will bring her back, just not right now.
Finally, the moustached badass, Kenny. He makes the most logical sense. Clementine thought he was dead. Even if she didn't know, I believe BrOmid or Christa would've told her. Plus, we never saw him die. The game even specifies he was "lost" to the herd, while everyone else who died had the word "dead". Finally, Telltale said his fate would be explored. I don't think "fate" means his death. It's impossible for just one walker to walk from Savannah to North Carolina.

Plus, Clementine has no reason to believe she is dead

WRONG! She was assumed dead by the entire group. Lee even said so himself:

Leaving her on the side of the road is the same as murder.

The whole group assumed her dead, which includes Clementine. It is why she has a military background is what makes her coming back so likely: She could have gotten out of that situation and stumbled upon the group, but our group doesn't know that.

EDIT: I don't know why people are disliking this, I mean, I'm just correcting him/her.

I doubt that Telltale would make it to where if you left her or not it would change who the "mystery character" is.
Even if Lee told her that, it doesn't mean anything. Plus, the majority let her back in the RV.

  • I get what you're saying and I mostly agree... however, what if there is new information given to clementine somehow in S2:E2 that could make her believe that somebody is dead? for example... what if she overhears a conversation between the bandits that broke up the weasel cooking scene saying something like "oh yea I sure shot that Christa girl right in the head and she is deader than any dead animal that ever died!"... then im sure if Clem sees Christa alive she would say "I thought you were dead..."

I still think / hope it's Kenny though!

  • Christa wouldn't join a group regardless. And the "mystery character" looks to be the leader. I doubt Christa could lead a group in just 1 mere day

  • you cant assume that TTG is going to tailor the story to the majority's decisions!

  • Let' say I left her but you didn't. It wouldn't really make sense for my playthrough to have Lilly as the "mystery character" & you have Kenny. As I've said, I doubt it's Lilly, but I'm not saying it isn't Lilly.

who said that the mystery character joined the group?? what if she's a prisoner... and who said that the mystery character scene was a day later?? watching the scene, there is no way to tell who Clem is talking to... if anybody id say its not the leader because she steps to the side to get a look at the mystery character... as if the person is behind somebody...

    don't assume too much!

also I'm not saying that it IS Christa... im saying what if Clem receives new information that would make her believe that somebody is dead, so that seeing them again would make her say "I thought you were dead"

Christa wouldn't join a group regardless. And the "mystery character" looks to be the leader. I doubt Christa could lead a group in just 1 mere day

  • We can't be 100% who it is yet. But Christa really doesn't make sense. I'm not saying it 100% is Kenny, just that he makes sense at the moment.

How can you "hope" it's Kenny? I know the Kenny-army is strong on this board, but what is up with all the love towards him?

He didn't even come look for Clemetine with me (my story). Nah, sorry. No love for the 'stash-man over here.

  • He was with the main character throughout the whole game and can be your "bro". Plus he "died" sacrificing himself to save someone who cost him everything. He is the most heroic character other than Lee.

  • who says lilly is dead either way? and TTG is building what I think is a true masterpiece, so I wouldn't be surprised if different players start seeing major differences in their stories...

  • I toally get where youre coming from... during my play through S1, I sided with Kenny and we were buddies... so in return he always stuck up for me, but I was watching a friend of mine play and I his game, Kenny was a jerk and kept throwing things in Lee's face about not helping duck or whatever...

that's exactly what im trying to say... im NOT saying that it is Christa!

  • Although Clem hasn't talked about Kenny thus far, the mere presence of Duck moment and her drawing of Kenny's family suggest that he's going to show up.

  • Same here lol.

Regardless, if it is Lilly I'm screwed lol.

  • good explanation Cart_hero_2010

  • Dang man, and i thought Bungie.net had alot of "Armor Lock" and "Bloom" threads when Halo: Reach came out, but it was not nearly as much as these Kenny threads. :P

Back on topic, i do agree that Kenny is the main one who makes sense, though i must admit, and im probably gonna make a thread on it, a Rebecca VS Lilly situation could be entertaining.

  • Who said that she doesn't appear either way? It doesn't seem to matter with Kenny, whether he went with Christa or Ben. Why, then does it all of a sudden matter with Lilly? I even made my own thread about where Lilly would have gone after both being abandoned and stealing the RV --> http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/57012/where-lilly-is-now-

It's not that I believe that Kenny is a illogical option, Hell, I think he survived, but it's the fact that you explain it like he is the only logical explanation, and that simply is not true.

I doubt that Telltale would make it to where if you left her or not it would change who the "mystery character" is. Even if Lee told her that, it doesn't mean anything. Plus, the majority let her back in the RV.

  • I think the way she says " I thought you were dead " tell us a lot of things.
If it were Christa, I believe it would be more like a "happy" Clementine reaction, but when she says that she looks too shocked, and that would be the reaction if she saw Kenny there.
She doesn't see Kenny since Savannah, that was 2 years ago in the game storyline, she do not know how Kenny is today, he could be a crazy guy right now ( that doesn't mean that i want it ), Kenny lost everything he cared about.
I don't know, that just my opinion. Telltale loves to play with our heads

  • And If you disagree with my comment, would you please explain what you disagree with? It is a discussion after all, and not responding after giving a dislike is basically shutting me out of any future discussion on the topic, like a cop out.

Who said that she doesn't appear either way? It doesn't seem to matter with Kenny, whether he went with Christa or Ben. Why, then

I disagree that Clementine couldn't think that Christa is dead. When Clementine ran away after distracting the bandits (in my game), I clearly heard a gunshot and Christa yelling. It's really not that far-fetched that Clementine would believe her to be dead. She even says as much to Luke when they're talking by the table.

  • Watch it be someone completely anti-climatic though, like the "water" guy.

  • I dobut its lily either because it says on the wiki that telltale planed a scene that she appears in the RV in episode 5 season 1. But they give up, so maybe it means that they give up of lily apearing in the walking dead again. Maybe it makes sense.

  • Didn't they say that lee would come back as a robot?

  • Wiki isn't exactly a reliable source.

  • It is. They make sure. It's in Lilly's or Kenny's VA interview

Wiki isn't exactly a reliable source.

  • Setting that aside, they wouldn't just take out a character when planning to bring her back in later; maybe they thought that it made more sense for her to come in later on. If Telltale Games takes out something, its usually done because they can make improvements story wise. Doesn't necessarily mean they aren't bringing her back.

  • Agreed. Lilly or Kenny are the top of the list to me. The two most popular and well known of the list (Arguably) As well as the OP's reasons and the two longest away

  • Nah, man, just a cyborg. If you amputated his arm in Episode 5, you get a sweet flamethrower there instead.

  • The one reason I doubt that it is Kenny or anyone from their group is the fact that Clem does not sound happy to see them. To me it sounds more like one of the cancer patients or someone she doesn't know that well like Molly.

  • all right it is either lilly or kenny i think it will depend how you played on a decision you make in episode 4. When you had to fight all of the walkers in the mansion and dont shoot any. Then when kenny asks to give you bullets give them and if it is in the alleyway there will be 2 shots fired and lee says kenny took ben and himself out. and im not so sure what happens if you're in the buildng but that might be a decision that affects you. If you wan more on theories and stuff go to theturningdead on youtube he has got some good stuff on there.

  • Yeah, I honestly don't like Ken too much. He drops you, he abandons you (my story), and he's just a jerk when I played. I can't be the ONLY one who likes Lilly?

  • Well, it was half her fault for jumping to conclusions, but it was overall Bens fault, especially when Carly died. Ben was the one stealing stuff, so it was his fault, really.

  • I suppose so, but Lilly was handling the situation poorly. Nobody would have died if paranoia didn't get the best of her.

I still like Lilly, but she did something horrible... unjustifiable...

  • So did Ben. Ben was the reason of the whole paranoia thing.
