What's up with the watch?

edited February 2014 in The Walking Dead

If you take the watch while searching for the items to close your wound, i am wondering if you can use it in that episode or if it plays a part in a future episode?

  • Watches can be used to check your pulse and they can also be used as a compass. I didn't steal the watch because it was wrong but I could see that It would come in handy in future episodes. If it is an important part of the game then I assume it will still be in your inventory in episode 2 if you stole it.

I assume we'll learn more about it in the later episodes. I didn't take it, though. Clemmy doesn't steal...unless if it's medical supplies.

  • My guess is that the watch will play some kind of significant roll in a later episode. One of the guys in the house will notice that their watch is missing and it may stir up some trouble within the group. But like @TWDFan86 said "Clemmy doesn't steal... unless if it's medial supplies."

  • I am almost 100% sure it belongs to Carlos, if you see in the bedroom, There is a board game in there, which he probably plays with Sarah, and if you also check the dresser, it is locked, this is probably where the rest of his medical supplies are.

  • Yeah, it could be. Maybe it was also locked because there were spare weapons in there too. Also, I read somewhere in here that someone found a file that read 'Nicks watch" or something. But I'm not sure.

  • Dramatic twist! It's Carver's watch and he wants it back.

  • I think it is used to tell time

  • Wait what? How do you know..?
    You have such knowledge!
W-where do you get your skills from..?

  • I know Clem doesn't steal but I was playing through as a kid rebeling after losing everyone close to her. So I am wondering if she might plant it in or on the pregnant woman or end up trading it for her life down the road. It looks like an expensive watch. As for who Clem says "I thought you were dead" to I believe it is either Lily or Molly ( she was the one that Lee and Kenny meets down at the marina right?)

  • He doesn't have to know. Please!

  • Yes, that's Molly, but I don't think that's her... In my gameplay CLementine has alsmot no interaction with her and has no reaseon to think she's dead.

Unless Clementithat she's not sure is alive is dead, what I don't think she thinks... I mean she had to have lost all hope to have those ideas in her mind

  • Well, since the trailer just came out a few hours ago, and it's clear the cabin group leaves the cabin somewhat in a hurry, I got to thinking more about the decision to steal or leave the watch.

So what if it's a family heirloom, but for one reason or another, the owner doesn't have time to grab it before they have to evacuate the cabin? Then on the road, the owner mentions something about wishing he had time to grab the watch. If your Clem stole the watch out of anger, what do you say? If you didn't, but had the chance, what do you say? Totally my own theory partly based on assumptions from the trailer, but I wonder.

  • Why would he go after noisy baby and it's evil mum? Gimme my watch!

  • I took the watch cos they left me in a fucking shed to die, compensation bitch. Hopefully it'll be useful in episode 2

  • The watch belongs to Nick. Someone found it in the game code.

  • Eh, good point. Telltale could be tricking us into thinking it's bad when actually it is a big part of the game..

  • WEll actually it is "bad" since they would know you took the watch that wasn't yours, so it would be an interesting decision.

If it was me (as a person really me) I would return the watch andwhen they asked "how do you have this?" I would just answer "You have the watch don't you?" and keep going...
