Save file for Season 2 has disappeared!

My game was able to find Season 1's save but it was as if I've never played Season 2 before.

Not sure if this helps, but I played all of the past episodes (season 1 and 2) on Windows 7. However I now have Windows 8.1 installed. And just in case, I tried playing both seasons in Compatibility Mode.

I've already done the TWD_support_data thing which can be found here:

Please help. It is getting a little bit annoying to go through this issue almost every single episode. Also, I'm not the only one:

  • I already commented in the other thread like this but yes! Mine disappeared as well. I think we have to start over unfortunately, but a fix for this would be incredible.

    Can you please clarify if you are playing with Steam Cloud Syncing on? We do not recommend using Steam Cloud Syncing, for any of our games, as this issue may arise. If you are, I recommend turning it off, and then start the game again. (To turn off Steam Cloud Syncing, please right click on the game from within your Steam Library, and click Properties. From the Properties window, click the Updates tab, and at the bottom, make sure to uncheck the box next to Enable Steam Cloud Synchronization.)
  • Turned it off, yet it is still the same. Also, how is it supposed to find any old saves without Steam Cloud saving?

      Your save files for the game are stored on your personal computer. If you would like, I can make sure that your computer still has those save files.             I apologize for the delayed response. Please check if you have Steam cloud saves enabled. (You can check this by right clicking on the game in your Steam library, clicking properties, and click the updates tab. Near the bottom of the page, you can see if the Steam cloud is enabled for The Walking Dead: Season 2.) If it is enabled, does disabling it, and restarting Steam allow you to access your saves?
