I actually don't mind Sasha in episode 5. For me, I feel that her and Rhys' relationship are more like a brother and sister. The way I see it, Rhys cares about her, because she is part of their family (Fiona, Vaughn, Gortys, LB)
I personally loved seeing her so friendly toward Vaughn. Vaughn needs a little love.

I honestly kind of flipped out when Rhys is doing his little sob routine and she wipes his tears away. At first I was like, "NO DON'T YOU TOUCH HIM", but then realized that they're all really good friends at this point and they all think Sash is dying. So I may have overreacted a little bit...
