70 days later Oh, well, maybe for Ep4...

I'm just hoping right now that this is a much better Episode than All That Remains. I liked the premiere, it did enough things right, but not enough for TWD. Let's see how the rest of the season turns out.

  • Yep. It already seems really good and to me, it looks quite long, length wise.

  • After surviving with no supplies for 76 days, telltale games have finally airdropped a trailer to fulfill our hunger before episode 2 comes to rescue us

  • Length, another one of my gripes. People keep saying "quality over quantity", and in many cases, I'd probably agree. However, they showed us last Season they could manage both.

Really looking forward to this episode (as well as the following ones). After all, the first season was one of my best game experiences ever.

Edit: Yeah, I removed the GIF. Sometimes, you just gotta stop clowning around.

  • I'm a huge fan of Michael Madsen's gravel-laden voice, so it's a real thrill to know I'll be able to interact with a bona fide Madsen performance. (Is it a little twisted for me to admit that I already trust Carver a whole lot more than the new group?)

I can't say Clem's "let's take 'em" line left me feeling confident. I hope I have a different dialogue option when that scene occurs, because otherwise it makes Clem sound like a Molly clone, the one character I absolutely despised from season 1. If Clem has to be a badass because circumstances demand it, then she'll be a badass, but she doesn't need to sound like she's TRYING to be a badass.

  • I guess I'm twisted too then. I'd much rather have a Mr. Blonde in my group than this bunch of Oranges and Whites.

  • Would you really want the "I thought you were dead" question revealed in a trailer and spoil it in the game?? SMH!

  • No. Not at all. But what Telltale did with Smoke & Mirrors is unacceptable, sliding most of the content that were supposed to be in the second episode to episode three. I'm just glad puzzlebox confirmed it will be in this episode.

  • I can now breathe a sigh of relief. I'm glad it will be in this episode; I wouldn't be able to handle the mystery otherwise!

  • I feel like the 'I thought you were dead' person is gonna show at the end of the episode, they're gonna show his/her face and then end it there. I hope I'm wrong, but I think they'll focus more on that next episode, while just showing the character on this one.

  • Let's not get too optimistic here; puzzlebox said "game", not "episode". That means if the mystery person's identity is withheld in episode 2, Telltale can easily claim they made no such promise to reveal it.

  • I agree. It's simply not in Clem's nature to deliberately be a badass.

Well, I thought the new Playing Dead show was great, and Scott is a nice guy. I'm actually quite impressed with the trailer. Sure it doesn't shed any light on who the "I thought you were dead" person is, but, at least now we know that it will be revealed in the episode itself. I am so excited! Can't wait to play it, especially after all this wait. Let's hope the episode comes out next week.

  • The entire TWD section is filled with episode 2 trailer analysis/questions/theories/etc as the thread title. So I came here.

But anyway, I'm so fuckin happy to see the trailer and TPD episode. Now what's left is the damn release date and last but not least the release itself :)

  • Not a fan of the 'season 2 playing dead' being Mr. Greg Miller sigh

But, overall decent trailer. And the infamous COMING SOON

I need that music.......aaaaaaaaah, is it anadel again?

That line was my choice to use in the trailer. I took Chuck's advice on the train to heart and tend to play Clem with an edge, but this particular scene in the game will be one which you can approach in a few ways other than a badass. So don't worry.

But that's the question of the season isn't it. Are you trying to protect her from the world or have her hit the world back?

    FreddeN93 posted: »

Yeah, you're right. As a protagonist Clementine have to stand strong, like Lee did at several occasions. And Telltale did indeed sho

I watch the episode trailers like I play the game:

Watch/play it, RE-watch/play it, and repeat over and over as if the trailer/game has new scenes getting added to it everytime you go back.

  • Ok soooooooo any new updates on episode 2?
    Wait let me guess........soon right?
    I'm soooooo over it >:(

  • I'm sorry, apparently I was mistaken when you said:
"If u know anything about the walking dead, you know that bite victims don't survive."

Apparently I should have been able to know what you fully meant through the morphogenetic field. I'm also quite aware of Lee's situation as I posted about 12 minutes later in this same thread about the minute possibility of Lee's survival. Here it is, I don't want to assume you'll scroll up and read it, enjoy:

Interestingly enough, you could argue that there is only one definite outcome that Lee is dead based on choices. Basically this would be for those who made the choice to not cut his arm off. To not do so would mean with relative certainty that Lee would eventually succumb to infection and become a walker.

"But JCMF, I cut his arm off and had Clem shoot him, so hes dead!". Not necessarrily, we see Clem holding the gun and pull the trigger and the gun goes bang, but we don't actually see bullet to Lee's head. Screen goes black. In any form of Zombie fiction, if you don't see an on-screen death, theres a chance, no matter how small, that you might see the person again.

However I don't want to feel like a troll, just mentioning a minute possibility. Regardless of whether or not Clem actually shoots him, It's my belief that he would eventually succumb to the infection as there was a lot of time between when he was bitten and when it was cut off. In other walking dead sources where a person survived the bite, the area was removed almost immediately. It may have been only 5 minutes to the player, but who knows how long it actually takes to get through the sewers to the morgue. Could have been hours. Considering he was already having fainting spells, I'd agree that it was too late. I still cut it off though, gotta hold on to HOPE

Right, but you don't GET an option to amputate Lee's arm quick enough... by the time you get the chance to cut of his arm, the fever has already set in. I'm not stupid dude.
