Microsoft is the one that's in charge of setting the release date on XBLA, so Telltale has no control over that. Microsoft has gotten better at coordinating release dates with Telltale though, so it probably will release very close to the PSN release. They don't tend to announce the release date until right up until near release though, but it should be coming soon. XBLA updates on Wednesdays, so it's very possible it will be coming on the 5th (although it's not certain, since nothing has been announced yet).

Keep an eye on Major Nelson's blog. His blog is an official Microsoft site, so the release date will be posted there once Microsoft sets it.

Xbox and PC version have the same quality. You just have to buy an HDMI cable for the xbox 360 it makes everything look 100x better

If I knew the PC version was better quality and came out earlier then I wouldn't of bothered getting it for Xbox. Too late now /I've paid for it season 1 and 2. .

  • Question - Will the download of the Episode 2 update take a shorter amount of time than it did to download the game + episode 1?

  • OzzyUKOzzyUK Moderator

It will depend on the size of the download and how fast your internet connection is.

Question - Will the download of the Episode 2 update take a shorter amount of time than it did to download the game + episode 1?

  • I'm just wondering if the file would be smaller since it's not the whole game, just an episode.

The steam database says 685.82MB but that seems a bit too small for a full episode as TWAU was around 1GB so we might need to wait until tomorrow to find out.

Obviously it's only the episode you're downloading if you have the base game installed already, along with eventual updates if any. To answer your question yes, the download should be faster than downloading the first episode along with the base files required for the game to run.

  • They do choose to release on other platforms BEFORE they know the date for PSN EU and Xbox...

The reason that Telltale haven't given a release date for Xbox and PS3 EU is because they don't know yet, its now down to Sony and

  • Had a dream that ep. 2 got delayed till June because of Xbox lol

  • The release date for Xbox better not be on Wednesday or I'll smash my TV...

  • edited March 2014

I'm so excited,I bought the season pass just a couple of days ago, however I have it on Xbox so let's hope for PS3 in Europe and Xbox it releases the day after (I doubt it will for iOS)

  • About d*** time. The delay between episodes one and two was way too long.

    Hopefully, this will change.

  • the next ep will be out in may i guess

The second episode of literally all games by Telltale have taken longer than usual. This is because they take feedback from reviews and fans; what to change, what to add, etc. They want to make the perfect episode before they resume with the season. We all saw how good Starved For Help turned out to be, and hopefully A House Divided will be just as good. Once the second episode is out they should start to follow their regular schedule for the remaining episodes, which is one month to six weeks. Now they have a plot, and they have feedback. Unless The Wolf Among us start to conflict with The Walking Dead I think the remaining episodes will release on time. Telltale even acknowledged this by saying it's their top priority to get episodes released sooner next time.

  • Laura (aka @puzzlebox) said the wait for the next episode "will almost certainly be shorter". I feel the need to say this is only a prediction and we should not take it at face value. They get enough shit thrown at them around here as it is. Still, I hope she's right.
