Sixth time? You've not proven me wrong at any point so far.Yes, I can't prove what I have stated is the case. At the same time you have not proven anything either. You've stated your opinion on the situation and made deductions based on that. That does not automatically prove that assessment. The lack of other reasons also does not automatically prove what you are claiming either.

  • I think they shot themselves in the foot with that statement and should have stated something more realistic. If there is no date they fail to keep though it can't be described as late. Episode three was released two months after episode two by definition that is bi-monthly.

Again with the "that's an estimate" defence line? They can't say it's bi-monthly, and then be late every time by 2-3 weeks, even if they can do that by the law, it's not nice to play with our expectations? Zyphon? Help me here?

Yes, but they set that up as what we could expect, and haven't been close to it yet.

Regardless of if the episodes have technically been "delayed", can we all agree that there is a larger gap between episodes than there was for Season One, and that even with a larger gap we are getting short episode, yes? So, agreeing to that, which is a fact, it's not too far off to draw the conclusion that they need to either grow their company, or simply learn to deal with multiple licenses at once, probably both.

Walking Dead is also bi-monthly. Except that statement is an estimate and does not guarantee that it will be released within four to six weeks.

That statement was what we came to expect, and as of that time frame, they've been 2-3 weeks "late" each time.

Regardless of if it is technically "late", we are in fact waiting longer for shorter episode than what was in Season One. This is a problem, or at least a clear drop in efficiency. Therefore we can draw the conclusion that they either need to grow their company, learn to deal with developing multiple games(which they'll probably be doing fairly consistently now), or most likely both.

I think they shot themselves in the foot with that statement and should have stated something more realistic. If there is no date

  • There has definitely been a larger gap between episodes with this season.

Simply stating I am wrong does not prove I am wrong. Yes, because there has been no theorizing or use of logic in any of my posts has there.

The content is art. But, we aren't strictly talking about the content are we? As the discussion is regarding their current design process and how you believe that impacts what they are making. Walking Dead season two might be art but you are also talking about the canvas that painting is on.
    AWESOMEO posted: »

You're dead wrong, I at leat theorize and infer, you can't even bring logic into your statements. Now listen closely,

  • They still have the 4-6 weeks statement on their website. Its misleading when it takes twice as long as that now. They should replace it with a 8-10 weeks statement.

Walking Dead is also bi-monthly. Except that statement is an estimate and does not guarantee that it will be released within four to six weeks.

  • Or should have just used the same statement that is on the Wolf Among Us FAQ.

  • Cartoon Network's FusionFall was made by another company. The game wasn't even that big. It had no more than 500 players online at the same time. Telltale's TWD is a gas giant compared to CN's FusionFall. + you just practically said what TinyCarlos said.

  • Lol why are people complaining about the time? As long as they tell a great story then it shouldn't matter. Plus they said time length can be added if you take the time to interact with the surroundings. A petition isn't going to do anything. They want to get TWD and TWAU done before the Summers over because the other games coming out. Plus They did tell the truth about the 400 days cast. They said they'll play a role in 203. They never said they were gonna play a huge role in 203. 204 they will return in the survive the attack trophy. You can decide to side with them or not. Either way they'll end up siding with you and the remaining cast will go to Wellington with you. 204 we'll probably see Nate too.

It's ok for the game to start resembling more to movies and stuff, but the people here personally want the old design back.

That means hubs, richer plot and dialogue, relationships you can build and break, that stuff.

I won't stop playing the game though, as I said, I love it, but I think Telltale is going to lose money over this kind of stuff, and I actually think it's not intended, but a change they had to do because they're short on time. I guess we can just ask them what made the episodes so short, but we will play the game no matter what happens.

I just think it's not the way they wanted season 2 to be you know? I think this is all a result of them getting more and more licenses to make more games, while having a really small crew to handle everything.

I know you're joking, but I'm not demanding anything, this is all criticism intended to help them to improve, and I believe that they had a lot planned out, but they changed it due to the short length (I remember hearing about them changing the plot, I think it was supposed to be more detailed but then they shortened it to have more time to work on GoT and Borderlands).

And yeah you're right, I think it's always like that with people, we complain about new things, but I never complained about season 1, and I think that the quality really went down, even if it's still good.

The thing (I think) we're all angry about is the fact that we expected episodes like we got in season 1 (which were incredible), but we got way shorter and way less detailed episodes for season 2. Again, this is all due to the company's tight schedule.

I agree with what you say, but we're not demanding anything, we're requesting, and I think that they didn't intend season 2 to come out like that.

But thanks for being calm and collective.

  • I said I wouldn't reply more and that is so. We can go round in circles, saying the same things over and over again without changing anyone's views. So, I'll just quickly say that while it may not be people's intention, a petition can be taken as though the petitioners are demanding change.

I do get it though, you see the petition as a way of getting Telltale to acknowledge your issues with the season, rather than using it as a way to demand change. But I think they're well aware of the issues anyway.

So yeah again, I appreciate the civil discussion. I just don't see much point in continuing it now, as I think we've both said as much as we can.

Ok, the words aren't 100% the same but it was something like this:

"Hey everyone! We hear you!" yadda yadda yadda "ep 3 is coming out super soon!"

That was 2 weeks before another tweet, and about a month before the release.

How exactly does vague information translate into lying? Provide an example of one of these tweets which contained a false promise.

  • Wrong, episode 2 came out on March 4th, and episode 3 came out on May 15th, so it's more than 2 months, so if you wan to be technical they did have a delay of 9 days.

I think they shot themselves in the foot with that statement and should have stated something more realistic. If there is no date

  • No, that's still two months later.

  • That's not really an example is it? The closest I can think of would be when they stated Episode two is just around the corner which was still far too vague to communicate anything specific.
