Name one game you played ( and liked ) that you are sure nobody knows.

Let's hear it! I am making this thread hopefully so we can learn about great games that went by un-noticed. Also it could give us something to look at while waiting for the next piece of info from TellTale's next project. Pick whatever system you want. Only request is, i'd like for it to be a unknown or little known game ( that's right kids, no GTA,RE,METROID,MARIO,ZELDA,FINAL FANTASY ETC ). A short description of it and links to it if possible so that we may learn about it and enrich our gaming knowledge. Also, if you name one game and later on think of another, feel free to share! Just remember, little known or games you think you are the only one to know.:)

Have fun!

My first game is : Ecstatica.

System : PC
Genre : Horror

This is one of my favorite games of all time. A great title that plays like the old resident evil and alone in the dark games. It was made by psycnosys and released in 1994. It featured elipsoid technology ( kinda bubbly graphics ) and very moody gameplay. What made this game special is that you could play this game like 10 times, and still see something new. Some scripted sequences happened rarely, and i remember there was some sort of werefolf like caracter... and he always came up with new ways to give you trouble, and he reapeared throughout the game many times. I provived a link to the begining of the game i found on youtube so you can see if it is for you. It's a game i treasure, and it's worth discovering especially if you are a fan of old adventure games.

  • Cave Story is cool (by the way, enhanced Wii version in development!), but I don't get why people would scream WHYY?! over some parts. I mean, sad and unbelievable things happened in the game, but they didn't actually do much to my feelings. And I'm a pretty sensitive person. :-/
  • I became quite emotionally attached to some of the characters (Not Toroko, Good GOD but more like Chaco... If you know what I'm sayin'!) and if you didn't follow a guide first time round... Well... I ain't spoling it but all I'll say is WTH.
  • Anyone ever heard of Anticipation?
  • one of my favorite racing games is San Francisco Rush 2049 for N64. sick game.
  • Wow some of those games bring back memories...:p

    Here's my lot:

    The Pandora Directive
    Lost Eden
    Under a Killing Moon
    Toonstruck

Under a Killing Moon & The Pandora Directive were Tex Murphy games, and absolutely great, brilliant stories and different even though they feel the same :p I'm replaying them now lol

And Lost Eden and Toonstruck two of the best adventure games ever, but I haven't played them in ages, just can't get em to work on modern pc's even with dosbox etc :(

Oh and another last one: Nomad Soul, never completed it but always go back to it!!!

There's a way to get Toonstruck running beautifully in XP. I got it running with this guide.
  • O i definitely got one that no one has played: Metropolismania
This game was a present given to me and it was actually pretty fun, getting people to move in, making roads, etc. It was one of those games that was so obvious that it was from Japan. They made a sequel, I think. But, I had it for the PS2 (I think I got it in late 2003)
  • There was one arcade I used to play...not sure of the name though. I think it was called "CarnEvil." It was an awesome rail shooter.

Hang on...I think I saw that game somewhere in an arcade...it gave me nightmares...
  • CarnEvil is amazing :D It's a shame that it's so hard to find.
