  • If they change the protagonist for season 3 I'd like to play as either Luke or Mike. You know if they survive the season two finale.

  • I would like to play Bonnie or Mike honestly. Clem, Bonnie, and Mike. Sounds like a great crew. Interacting with them was one of my favorite moments. That episode needed some humor somewhere. I feel this season is the empire strikes back, I know typical, but I feel the third season will let up on the despair and focus on an entirely different theme. Home

  • Well I mean playing the three of them. At different points.

I would find it weird to play as bonnie or mike and continue to have clem in the group. If we have a new protagonist, I don't think they should ever interact with clem because she can be so different depending how you played her.

  • That's why I think we will play as Clementine. What's the point in starting as new character if we'll abandon Clementine's story? In that case choices from season 1 and 2 won't matter at all. Not even a little. I wouldn't mind to play as a new character but in DLC. :)

  • I KNOW that we will play Clementine. I'm just saying what if the game changed POVs during crucial moments of the story. Like a character being kidnapped and tortured and you have to escape and get back to Clementine's group, that's my idea of POVs. The main character would still be Clem but other characters will step up to the plate as well

  • I guess I'd be chill with being Clem again. It still is hard to believe that so many people depend on an 11 year old though. Personally, I'd want to be Kenny, Nate, or Molly. Now that would be pretty damn interesting.

  • I was actually replaying to MissingTurtle but...nevermind. :) About your idea - maybe it's not that bad but I don't think that Telltale will ever go in this direction. At least not in official season. Maybe with DLC when we would play as more then one characters but in regular season... I don't know how it could work.

  • Sorry, but being subjective is the "quality of having perspectives". If MY perspective is THE OPPOSITE of someone else's, then I just may dislike their opinion. I.e. One person says "I think pie is good." Another person may say "Well I think you're crazy." The latter did not like the former's opinion. I hate it when these arguments get to this point, so I'm going to stop now.

  • i disagree i think making clementine the protaganist was the wrong move IMO it made things less interesting and changed clems personality in a drastic way because she already had a definitive personality and she was never a douchebag but having her as the protaganist she can be a douche and its very out of character

  • First, I know they might not be able to do this since the game and comics are in the same universe, but it's just an idea. Second, think about it this way, The Last of Us is 20 years into the apocalypse, but the Infected can run, they can run as fast as a normal human, in The Walking Dead, however, they're walkers, they can't move fast (not counting anything from the show), yet everything is actually WORSE in TWD (no Military Zones or QZs to keep you safe, the military is basically gone in TWD). Yes, I know they're two different franchises, but it's something funny I was thinking about.

The thing I think everyone needs to keep in mind when everyone keeps saying they want to see an adult Clementine is.. it's the ZA.

  • no problem dude

Whoever said I don't want to play Clementine? I was just talking about ideas that could be brought up you jerk Edit: My bad, I thought you were talking to me

  • What you want is a new game and not a 3rd season

No more Clementine pls. No more anyone from the first two seasons. All original cast in a new area would be hot. I love Lee and Clem and Kenny to death, but it's time to start something new

  • If not Clementine, then probably Bonnie. I really think if Clem isn't there, then it will be Bonnie.

  • We play Carl. Clem will be his girlfriend.

  • Why would you purchase the first episode if you have the season pass?

Well you buy the first episode which is 5 bucks and the season pass is 20, so yeah. The game altogether is 25 a season.

  • if i was arvo i'd put a gun to my head and pull the trigger

Why would you purchase the first episode if you have the season pass?

  • Hopefully we play as a dog, accompanied by a grizzled, travel weary human companion

  • No, it's not. When season 2 was announced, it was widely speculated that the game could continue on with completely different characters. Even tv shows can say season # while hosting all new characters and stories. I want something fresh, not more of the same.

I don't care about playing as a girl, i love Tomb Raider and Metroid games, it's the fact that she's a little girl. I want to be the leader of the group like in S1. I don't want to hear "She's just a little girl" every episode.

And when people say "don't play it" it pisses me off. Because i love the game, it's my favorite. I can't have a different opinion without someone saying don't play it. I'm not saying i don't want to play it, it's not that big of a problem to me, i'm just saying that i don't like it. Nothing more. So why the fuck does everyone have to gang up on me? Saying stupid shit "If you don't like it, don't play it"?

I like the game, Clem is a better protagonist than i thought she would be, it's just that some things bother me about it. And they don't bother me that much to say i hate the game and i won't play it. It just bothers me and sometimes i can't stand it because Clementine is kind of boring.

She's probably not boring, it's just that the way Lee reacted to things, it was funny. But Clem, when she reacts to things it's the same sassy look every time. Give me something different. Lee had variety to his character, Clem is the same every episode. Lee had options from "Fuck you" or "Could be i did."

Lee could be mean to everyone including Clementine, but Clem, when she's mean, it doesn't really matter that much. Lee can be a piece of shit, Clem can just be that sassy girl like Becca. I feel like Clem's choices don't matter. Nick lives even if you picked Pete. Why couldn't of been that way in S1? I want Carley and Doug.

If you're on Team Luke and you side with him, Kenny gets sorta mad nothing extreme. But if you're Team Lilly, Kenny hates you. In fact just because you chose to revive Larry he'll hate you for the rest of the season.

I'm going through all the choices from S2, and most of them don't mean shit.

    201-
Save or don't Christa. Same thing happens, Christa yells and you hear a shot. I don't know if this will come in to play yet. Kill the dog? Doesn't matter, it still will die. Accept Nick's apology? I don't think this matters at all, either. Give water to Victor? Hasn't come in to play and it probably won't. Nick or Pete? Nick lives either way, Pete dies either way. The choices don't matter in this episode.

    202-
Took blame for picture? Doesn't matter. Who did you sit with? Doesn't matter Luke and Nick/Kenny come to your table anyway. Told the truth about Matthew? Doesn't matter. Nick's fate? This DOES NOT amount to anything other than a few dialogue lines from Nick. Left to find Kenny? Walter still dies, but at least Alvin can live to kill Hank. The choices don't matter in this episode.

    203-
Help Sarah? Reggie dies either way and the choices doesn't matter. Tell Bonnie about Luke? Doesn't matter. Admitted stealing? Kenny still gets beaten so, doesn't matter. Watched Kenny? This doesn't seem to matter. Cut off Sarita's arm? Sarita dies either way, and Kenny still blames you for it. The choices in this episode don't matter.

    204-
Left Sarah? Doesn't matter, Sarah dies either way. Rob Arvo? Doesn't matter, Arvo still accuses you of stealing regardless. Crawl through ticket booth? Doesn't matter, Bonnie gets a bump on her face, though. Held the baby? A cute scene, but doesn't really matter. Shoot Rebecca? Doesn't matter she dies either way.

    205-
Pizza or Ice cream? Not sure about this. It could matter a bunch or none at all.

EDIT: I am in no way saying that S2 is bad, i'm just saying Clem's choices don't really matter because she is a little girl, or it's just the writers got lazy this season. Lee's choices had some affect at least. But in S2, all your choices in S1 just amount to a few mentions by Clem.

You know there's hundreds of games where you play as a middle aged man, right? I think you can handle playing as a girl for once, suck it up.

  • S1 choices have no affect on Clem other than small mentions. Clem is the same every episode the only difference is that she can be sassy and that's really it.

  • I agree with ChuckTheLizard.

That stupid every-game-should-have-multiplayer-mentality of today's gamer is really annoying. I mean, how should it work? Who decides important decisions, like who should live and who not? What if I want to play alone? Would the second character just disappear or become a minor character, forcing TT to basically write 2 plot lines, one for 1 and another for 2 characters? Or should the decisions and dialogues of the Co-op Character be made by the game, ripping single-player of some major plot changes?

And seeing the "puzzles" of the first 2 Seasons, having the Co-op Partner just to solve puzzles would force TT to spend less time with the story and more time with making good puzzles, and most TWD Player would hate it. Me personally, I don't like puzzles, I play TWD for the story, like the majority of people.

Your idea of Multiplayer is different from mine's. This is cooperative puzzle solving and dialogue participation. Multiplayer isn't just used for shooting at other people

  • thats YOUR clementine but alot of people made her a douche and the fact that the game alows het to be a douche is just wrong in caracters develepment

I disagree man, my Clementine isn't a douche but rather hardened. What did you expect from a person that has lived in the apocalypse that long?

  • Clem. If not her, then someone new. It would be boring to play as someone who already has a set personality.

  • Man, I really Can't understand people wanting to play Kenny in Season 3. Why? Well, first I and many other don't like Kenny. I don't hate him, but I do not really care about him. And Second, It is just impossible in a game like TWD, because you can decide what kind of person the one you are playing is. Like, you could make Lee in Season 1 a caring, if flawed good guy, or a ruthless survivor who only cares about him and those close to him, one reason because you didn't know much about his past. And in Season 2, you could make Clem be a sassy, tricky girl, a compassionate person or a deceitful snake.

With Kenny however, his personality is pretty much established, him being a hot-headed stubborn broken guy with not much to life for. What if I want to play a calm, collected individual who thinks before shooting? With Kenny as the protagonist, it would be impossible because it would go against how he was in Season 1 and 2.

  • Kenny isn't a viable option for main character, that much is clear I think. Maybe if TTG wants to ride that horse so badly they could make a DLC in wich we could play a few missing scenes from S2. That might include Kenny surviving on his own (and meeting Sarita) after his supposed death, the story of Christa's baby and how she and Clem reacted, the first escape from Carver's camp in wich we could see Rebecca's affair and George's death, maybe Jane's giving up with her sister, etc...

But for an entire season, Kenny would be a pretty dangerous pick, for the reasons you mentioned. I mean, half of the game's choices were about siding with kenny or not. He is just much more useful in that role.

But, thruth is, I don't even expect him to live that longer myself :(.

  • The plot thread of Kenny's eye becoming infected is something fans have already discussed. Infection bringing about madness and a slow, grim death may be a fittingly ironic end for a hot-blooded man like him. I don't necessarily WANT him dead or alive, but I think his eventual demise will arrive by the end of Season 2.
