Ok, but how much tv shows were already interesting and good after a cast change.

No, it's not. When season 2 was announced, it was widely speculated that the game could continue on with completely different char

I don't want to argue but who are you to saying that this isn't Clementine's story? I mean you can't be sure unless you're working in Telltale. If I remember correctly then during season 1 they said that she's kind of one of main points in the story and moral compass for players. Now this second thing is missing because she's protagonist, not only one of main characters.

This isn't Clem's story. I honestly hope Telltale gets rid of Clem just to get this concept out of peoples heads.

  • That's true with a timeline but cure... Kirkman said there will never be any cure. At least for now he doesn't think about that. I think that in the comics we're 4-6 years since outbreak has started. In game we're 2-3 years after walkers came.

Glenn isn't coming back, as he is a character from the comics/tv shows and Kirkman has his story covered for a veery long time. Wi

It was Lee's story in season 1, Clem just played a part in his path to redemption. He died, and now it's Clem's story. I have to point out though that she's no longer the moral compass because we now have control over her actions. Not to mention, with just the way Clem is now, I don't think her morals/values are as clear as they were in season 1. I would argue that they are nonexistent now, with the way she's been acting. Clem's a completely different person, she's now much more cold and hardened to the world around her, and doesn't seem to get upset about anything. When people die, she makes a sad face, but then moves on. For me that makes the game less intense and a bit boring at times to play.

I just said that she isn't moral compass anymore but okay :) Well... what did you expect? Almost every person after 2-3 years of apocalypse is that way. Even Luke didn't much care about Sarah's death in episode 4. Or even Nick's. Either way Clementine was created sonner than Lee so it means something. At least for me. They wanted to replace Lee with Clem's brother but they didn't do this though.

Sorry, I was just going off of what was in your comment that I replied to. I don't expect her to not be like that, if anything, it makes a lot of sense since this is what she's growing up in. I guess I just found her story to be more compelling and touching when I was watching her grow up and deal with the apocalypse as Lee, as opposed to actually being her and controlling her actions/decisions. I still want Clem to play a part in the story, but I'd rather be a witness to her part than be in control of her.

  • I know what you mean and I understand your point of view but in the same time it doesn't make any sense to me to change protagonist without killing her. Every player chose different dialogue option, decisions and Clementine behave differently based on your individual playthrough so I guess it'd be difficult for Telltale to create this character as non-protagonist for the next season with so much possible options. It's just my opinion that it makes more sense for her to be protagonist again but like I said - it's only my opinion. You see things differently and I understand your point of view.

I don't think it would be that difficult to transition her from being protagonist to non protagonist tbh. All it would mean is that we have a greater insight on her character(that wasn't influenced by determinant choices), and it would also make us want to protect her more because we now know her on a more intimate level. It would immerse you even more in the game because we'd all want to protect Clem even more furiously then we did in season 1. It would also be interesting to explore how Clem would react to a different guardian, compared to her relationship with Lee in season 1. Would it be more antagonistic, and reluctant? Would she even be open to wanting a new parental figure, and how far would we have to go to earn her trust/respect? But as you said, we see things differently, and we're entitled to that opinion.

Yeah, we see thing differently and it's good. World would be boring if everyone could think the same way. :) For me playing in season 3 as some kind of guardian for Clementine is a little... ridiculous? I mean it's steping back to season 1. Also I don't think that Clementine needs another guardian because like Kenny said in episode 4 (in my playthrough) "I have seen you taking care of yourself more than three adults put together [...]". I mean even before this episode I knew that she can take care of herself. Also Jane stated that in her opinion Clem could even survive on her own.

Brand new character. When i found Clem was the protagonist for S2, i was pissed off and i don't want S3 to disappoint as well. Get someone interesting and i cannot stand another season of playing as a child.

That's why I think it would be interesting. It could be someone who see's these strengths in Clem, but at the same time recognizes that she's still just a kid. And Clem could be fighting this person trying to take care of her the whole way(saying things like "I can take care of myself", or, "I've done it alone all this time, I don't need your help"). The new protagonist is adamant in not leaving her alone though so Clem reluctantly lets them tag along. But as the game progresses, through the new protagonist's constant badgering("You sure don't act like other kids your age", "what, or who, the hell made you so cold?") she begins to rediscover her humanity, and is secretly thankful you came into her life.

Well... interesting idea, I must admit. :) But at the end Telltale will decide who will be new protagonist, not us. I still hope that it'll be Clementine because I found myself enjoying more by play as her than some new character. :) I guess we'll know after season 2 will end.

I think that if she stays alive after season 2 it's very possible that she'll be a protagonist, you know? Beucase of high popularity of this character and reviews of this game I'm almost sure that if she'll survive finale then Telltale will make her playable character again. I think we would likely play as new person in some DLC.

We have played as a male adult character in S1 and we played as a little girl in S2. So It might be possible that we play as a female adult character in S3. Hopefully Christa or Lilly.

  • The time skip would have to be about 5 years and Clem's character would not be the same if she weren't a kid anymore.

I don't know if you ever watched an interview of TT. In one of them they told, that this game is developed to tell us the story of Clementines survival and Lee was just the playable character in season 1 to insert clementine easier into the game. At the planing phase Lee didn't exists. TT wanted to make Clems brother as the playable character who saves her. For this reason I think that Clem would still be the playable character in season 3 and that is for my opinion a good choice. Clem ftw

  • I'd rather learn what's been happening with Lilly first-hand after she left the group.

  • I really want to go back to playing as an adult. I love Clementine but she worked best as a character you protected and guided. Season 1 will always trump Season 2 for me, because the weight of your decisions was magnified due to everyone looking to you.

Seems to be a really unpopular opinion here, but I say give Clem some kind of resolution, (maybe a happy ending of some kind), and move things on.

  • Why don't they just make us able to choose a character and play it in multiplayer!Ex:
-You choose to play Kenny.Your friend plays as Luke, and the others choose their preferable characters.
-You will have the same dialouge as the Seasons 1 & 2.The story is the same. You're judt playing with your friends.
-Or it can be any storyline and any characters!Choose to play from 2-4-8-10 players in a multiplayer server, and the story will vary.

    What do you think?

I agree with ChuckTheLizard. That stupid every-game-should-have-multiplayer-mentality of today's gamer is really annoying. I me

She's someone, who REALLY "loves" Luke and/or his VA (and also ships Luke and Clem. Gross.) .

  • Sorry for the late reply :) .

I.... don't really get your Idea. Are you suggesting making the 2 Seasons to a Multiplayer? How'd that work? 1st that would be stupid from a financial side as most player already know the first 2 Seasons and many wouldn't play it again, and 2nd how would you incorporate the decisions of the other player? If you want to recreate the story, you couldn't, because having Lee, Kenny, Ben making different choices would screw up the story. Also, how would you do with character which didn't appear at the beginning? Would it mean none of the character could die?

Or are you suggesting making a new game in the same style as Season 1 & 2 just as a multiplayer? Then it still would make no sense, why see my post in this thread directly above your post. Also, having 2-4-8-10 players with varying stories? Are you out of your mind? Have you any idea you freaking much work that would take? You'd have to have several developer teams at once working on it, and it would take several years. That's just impossible.
