  • This is my favorite zombie movie. Super fast, can talk, can even think and plan out their traps. The scariest, most inescapable zombies.

Zombies can't talk? I dare disagree. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iICP8DcYHf4 I watch way too many fucking movies...

  • Negan's group is probably with the Hilltop, the Kingdom and Alexandria.

Yeah but who's looking for them? Negan been locked up for two years. His group either turned on him or died. Maybe it's the people at the kingdom looking for them? If walkers are talking I'm not really cool with that but we'll see where to goes.

I'm 100% sure your guess is correct.

In that situation, if that guy was hiding in a ditch, unable to see anything and only hear, if Jane and friends walked past him as she kept whispering "Walk slowly." like in the game, he'd be thinking he heard a walker talk too.

I think that particular comic character just doesn't know that people can walk among herds, so he got pretty shocked at hearing whispers.

The whispers sounded like they were short, direct orders too, not dragged out or anything. You have to talk as little, quiet and directly as possible as to not draw attention to oneself.

  • I kind of like this. I am assuming it's just Kirkman trolling us and Ken and Marco were hallucinating, or there were people moving through the herd. But if the walkers now have some form of limited speech, it could be cool. But I would prefer it if it would maybe be just the walkers repeating things (although somewhat badly considering that they are falling apart) that they said when they were alive or just before they died. It wouldn't make them a bigger threat really, but it would make them creepier I think.

A horde of walkers clamoring at the walls, whispering and moaning about going to work, getting a coffee, screaming in pain, etc. Hahaha, could make them scarier again. Or it could just make them unintentionally funny.

Nah, knowing Kirkman's penchant for teasing us with something and then speeding off a cliff at 80 miles per hour in a different direction (thank you for that reveal that Magna's group think Negan's full of shit, I was almost interested in the story) he'll probably reveal that it's a new enemy group that actually lives among the zombies, but routinely slob themselves with the blood and guts. Or maybe make it a crazy religion that worships them and has them pretend to be them for spiritual reasons. Because having smart zombies would inject some life (no pun intended) into the tired stories he's writing, and we can't have that can we.

Also, Kirkman himself stated that his zombies don't get smarter (like Romero's), but continue to rot. So that's why I doubt the zombies are the ones talking.

  • Walkers talking, what? The dude might just be crazy though, so we don't know for sure but that definitely was a "Holy shit" moment.

To add clarity Ken and Marco are hiding from the heard in a ditch and you hear from the herd. "Where they go?" "Don't know. Keep moving." "Okay."

It may be the walkers, or it may be two people hiding in the heard.

  • Yeah but who would be looking for them?

  • WTF is this? Is this Legit? If it's true, we need serious Saltlicking worldwide...

  • Maybe some random people who spotted them? We don't really know much about them, but the only things we know who were after them were the walkers.

Yeah but who would be looking for them?

  • edited August 2014

i'm guessing it was the walkers until i have proof otherwise.

  • It feel that it isn't a good choice. I don't think zombies should talk. Seems weird.

  • Something else, I think on of them said, "Where are they?"

Perhaps Magna and her group escaped from some community(like Carver's), and now those people are after them?

Also, Ken was injured, and Marco was exhausted, neither of them were probably thinking clearly.

  • I'm really curious with what's gonna happen with Negan next! :)

    Also , Praise Hershel!!

  • Negan's my favourite character, it'd be cool if he took over again.

  • They were exhausted and dehydrated as stated, so I firmly believe they heard some people covered in guts hiding within the herd and mistook it as the walkers speaking.

If the walkers can actually talk, then I'm excited for the episode where Rick goes water-skiiing and hops over a shark.

  • Looks like we'll find out what it is in 3 months

Today I bought the issues #128 #129 #130, I read all three and I don't understand the walkers can speak? Why? How? Are evolving or something?

  • So, nobody here has considered the possibility that this guy was just hearing voices, as it has to be extremely stressful to be right in the middle of a group of things that can and will tear you apart with their teeth and hands?

  • edited August 2014

Marco was not injured and a zombie horde can't drive him to crazy because at this point should be usual for him.

  • I never said he was injured? And I'm sure it's perfectly normal for them to see all these zombies, but to be right in the middle of so many of them, when just one can literally look at you funny and you're fucked. It has to be extremely stressful. And who's to say Marco isn't insane? We've just now met him.

  • HOLY FUCKWILIKERS BAT MAN

  • Does comic Rick know about the trick of walking among herds?

Well, he knows Michonne, right? He certainly doesn't look surprised. If she were there, I imagine she'd be pulling the same poker face.

  • Yes he does know.

That's definitely a person among the herd, walkers don't feel pain, and she(?) is holding her injured arm as if she were in pain.

I assume Jesus stabbed her by mistake... with a blade he'd just been using to chop walkers, apparently.

  • If it means the zombies become more interesting, I'm all for it.

  • Yeah people are hating on the idea I personally love the idea the walking dead would actually become kind of scary

  • Know what would be weird? They could actually be people who've taken the "mingle with the herd" thing a bit too seriously.

Insane people who behave and feed like zombies, as if they belong in there? Sort of like feral people who've gone mad.

  • "Act like you belong and you will belong."

  • Am I the only one who finds this CREEPY?And its more fuckin' weird if the man at the cover is Jesus..What the...There's no proof he is Jesus,is there?

  • i don't know if you read the comic or not but he is not the biblical Jesus in anyway, its just a nickname people gave him. His real name is Paul.
