  • That Ohio case is crazy. 2nd Degree Murder is still 2nd Degree Murder, whether or not the victim is a piece of shit is irrelevant.

I see this becoming more common. People who end up in jail are often molested when they were kids. Guards won't protect a molester. As a society, we really don't like child molesters.

Pretty much, we hate child molesters to the core.

  • Is that really a country the US wants to be?

Our time of being charitable is over. The government has pretty much sold us out to big business, and now we are suffering the effects . Do some research on for example the price of gasoline. Look at some of the improvements that were invented over the years, from the water infused carburetor to the car that runs on water.

There was a device, that would stretch one gallon of gas, that would make a car run 200 miles in the seventies. Don't believe me? Do some research. Why do you think we are still driving around in these gas machines, when we had the technology for the past fifty years, because if we weren't paying these prices for gasoline, it would fundamentally change the economy of some countries.

Like Saudi Arabia. Our government doesn't doesn't do good for its citizens.

That is why there will never be a perfect society. Human Greed. It would definitely make it harder to achieve an ideal soc

  • You're so shady TeamSarah! :P

Just kidding, I agree with you, minorities should try to support others minorities, you don't have to be gay to support gay rights, you don't have to be a woman to be a feminist, etc.

That's just how we are. If someone attacks you, you have a natural instinct to fight back, even killing if you have to.

When children look up the world "bulling/bully/teasing, belittled they have ask their parents what those words mean. because the meaning to those words are lost forever. Even though killing the guy was nothing more than retribution (which I don't endorse), having your kid go through something like that isn't easy, and it's a natural instinct to take matters into your own hands when someone you care about goes through that. As a society we say we don't like child molesters.
But here's one thing that doesn't add up.
Why are Female child molesters treated with less severity, than Male child molesters.

Case in point - Former Baltimore Ravens' cheerleader, Molly Shattuck, was just sentenced to two years probation for raping a 15 year old boy.
She pleaded guilty in June to one felony count of 4th-degree rape.
She entered the the plea just days before her scheduled trial on two counts of the more serious charge of 3rd-degree rape, four counts of unlawful sexual contact, and three counts of providing alcohol to minors.

The teen, a classmate of one of Shattuck's children at the McDonough school in Owing Mills, Maryland, told police that Shattuck began an inappropriate relationship with him near Baltimore, and that it culminated with sexual activity at a vacational home in Bethany Beach over Labor Day weekend.

The indictment alleged that Shattuck provided alcohol to three boys under the legal drinking age on August 30 and August 31 of last year and that she had sexual contact with one boy on or about August 31.
The prosecuting attorney John Donahue stated: "This was not a momentary lapse in judgement. She groomed him, seduced him, and then took advantage of him, all for her own gratification."

But here's where it doesn't add up.
If a Man molested a child, even if he confessed to it, he more than likely would still be sentenced to jail time.
Why is this woman getting away with a lesser punishment?
Both Male and Female child molesters are disgusting.

How can we say as a society of that we hate these types of people, when we are handing out either harder or lighter sentences for the same crime, apparently all based on the culprit's gender?

  • This shit is why I consider myself anti-feminist. A lot of feminists out there want women to have the same rights, but not be held up to the same standard (e.g. giving a woman equal pay as a man even if the man is better at the job). There's a common misconception that all men and boys want is sex, and that men can't actually be raped, because they always want it.

The reason I'm anti-feminist is because feminism has become more about women having more rights than men, and ignores an entire side of the issue. I'm talking about women like this:

You know why, the double standard.

Women get less harsher sentences in court, because people are more sympathetic to women then they are of men. That is a fact, it is not disputable.

    Exactly!
    Double standard.

And worse off, it amazes me that we have people willing to defend trash like that!
This was a 48 year old woman doing this to a 15 year old boy!
Yet the Defense Attorney said that: "Deep down she is a caring and good person."
    Are you kidding me!!!
When I read his statement I thought to myself: "What are you on, that would make you think that she is a good person?"

Our legal system is so screwed up.
Not just because of the feminist movement.
But also because of liberal legislation, because they DO NOT want to punish criminals.

Is our Justice system on the verge of collapse

That was highly illegal what that group just did, pulling the fire alarm, when there was no fire.
If you ask me, that entire group should've been arrested, and given some jail time.

Another problem with feminism, is that when it comes to domestic violence, it always shows women as victims of violent men, and it completely ignores the fact that there are many women who abuse men.

    Men being abused

  • I considered myself psuedo-anti-feminism not long ago, but I have to say most feminism is not like that. Most feminists advocate for the female spectrum of the egalitarian platter. It just so happens that the male spectrum is most often pushed to the wayside even though, in my opinion, the male portion is the most detrimental.

Protection of the domestic economy via tariffs on foreign goods.

To the extent that these fail to stimulate heavy industry, creation of public works projects and, if necessary, direct manufacture of materials needed by the state by publically owned industry. When/if these become self-sustaining they can be resold to the private sector. (It sounds radical, but we're talking about things like DPW and buiding Hoover Dam - yes, both by FDR).

Tightening of financial regulation to curb speculation, along with the reintroduction of Glass-Stegal.

Public finance of high-speed rail and employment of labor necessary for infrastructure projects by the DPW.

End of private prisons. Period. Replacement of incarceration with drug treatment and psychological care (not totally, obvs.).

    Public financing of campaigns.

Introduction of progressive tax structure on both private and corporate income, shifting tax burden away from sales tax and social security.

Increasing the minimum wage to at least $12/hr.

Increased funding for afterschool programs, reintroduction of civics education.

Incentives for repopulation of blighted urban areas.

Cuts to military spending while shifting security burden to multilateral organizations such as NATO. Expansion of NATO (and probably renaming) of NATO to Japan and South Korea, while reiterating promises not to expand NATO into Ukraine.

End of TPP and renegociation of NAFTA and KAFTA.

    Significantly increased funding for NASA.

Transition of private medical system to Medicare for all. Obligatory coverage for mental illness.

Institution of fair trade regulations with foreign countries.

These are just a few, I'll think of more... You can tell where my priorities lie more or less by the order.

  • So basically, a Keynesian, tax and spend economy? I could live with that.

Spot on about NATO. It's time for more collective defense, rather than American & British-led defense. The African Union went all in on collective-security and it's been extremely successful.

  • Random Thought : In my perfect world, the UN Security Council would be greatly expanded to give regional powers like Brazil, Germany and India permanent seats. The automatic veto should absolutely go away too.

  • Some of the things America would need for a "perfect society" would be no racism(never going to happen), we'd need people that don't try to force religion on others(while most religious people don't do this, lots do), we would need our taxes to go to things that need them, like roads, and up keeping of the town or city, and not go to drug addicts and people that don't use the money for things they need. For fucks sake I was at the grocery store the other day and a woman and her child were in the checkout line behind my dad and me, they looked to be quite poor(just an observation, not a judgement) and the woman had 3 packs of cigarettes in her hand. The little boy picked up a banana and asked his mom if he could get it. And she said they didn't have money for that. You have money for 3 packs of fucking cigarettes but you can't buy your hungry little boy a fucking banana. Bullshit. These are the people that get our money when we pay the extra few cents or dollars at the grocery store or gas station. Our taxes should go to the homeless veterans that have served our country, risked their lives to protect us, and get nothing from the government after they are dismissed from the Military. They just roam around on the streets. Spend cold nights outside on the sidewalks of cities, with asshole teenagers that harass them. Then, as another little piece of evidence, this video. enter link description here
