What would have happened if Malcolm would be returned to Ironrath

edited January 2016 in Game Of Thrones

Well all of u know Malcom remained with Daenerys Targaryen , but what would have happened if Malcolm would be returned to Ironrath ? Maybe he could save Rodrik AND Asher sacrificially himself to lift the gate . With both of them alive probably would otherwise end .
What's your thoughts ?

  • He probably would have died, but other than that most likely nothing would have happened other than a few extra whitehill heads down.

  • For one, Malcolm would have definitely sacrificed himself to save Asher and Rodrik.

Two, with Asher and Rodrik, the Forresters would have had a MUCH better shot at winning the war.

  • I would have executed him for treason.

  • He'd be at Ironrath. Malcolm would've changed nothing.

  • I think Malcom would have sacrificed himself to save Asher and Rodrik. With both brothers back in Ironrath, the siege might have played out differently.

The reunion at home would have been more heartwarming and the morale and spirit would have been better, besides the fact that they all grieve for Malcom and the Branfield name ending.

Possibly Ludd would show up with Malcom's head mount on a pike to taunt Rodrik and Asher.

Rodrik would command the defense with his Sentinel. Asher and Beskha will go and infiltrate Ludd's camp either alone or with the Sellswords. If the pit fighters stays in Ironrath, the defense would have been better and stronger.

Since Asher and Beskha have greater experience with infiltration and being stealthy, they might have succeeded with rescuing Ryon and slaying either one or both Ludd and Gryff.

Without their leader and Forrester family reunited, they might have been able to drive back the Whitehills or by Ramsay's rules, the Forresters won the war.

  • He would probably have died or maybe betrayed us. Or both.

  • Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but why in the world would Malcolm hypothetically betray us?

  • A youtuber named Dekon found all the unused dialogues of episode 5 and put them in one of his videos

    Link?

  • I listened to it and didn't hear Malcolm. What's the timestamp for the quote?

The siege would still be a loss, hardcoded. Telltale cannot into branching or alternative routes options anything :)

All in all there be a suprise for Whitehills and shitamsay Bolton when Malcolm returns with a Targaryen Queen backed army or Gared with a bunch of blood magic bastards of Forrester which bring in an army of wildlings, both works fine for me.

  • 1:53 and 2:22 (2:22 could not be Malcolm)

  • While I like your thinking and think this would be awesome. I can't help but think that if Telltale keep killing off Foresters at the rate they did this season, then there won't be any Foresters left to save.

Yes I was being sarcastic, however with Telltale you can never really tell what crazy idea they are going to come up with next.

It might seem like an impossible idea to most of us, but I wouldn't put it past Telltale to make Malcolm betray us. Then claim it was because as Asher we chose Beska over him. Or if they player chose Malcolm over Beska, it would be for some other random or stupid reason; like Malcolm goes crazy out in Esso and starts to think that the dragons are talking to him and that they tell him to betray the Foresters!

None of that makes ANY sense what so ever, but hey this is Telltale.

By the way i got another video of the unused dialogues of Ryon in episode 1 if you are interested ( Listen to what ryon says in 1:13)

I listened to it and didn't hear Malcolm. What's the timestamp for the quote?

  • Why?

I would have executed him for treason.

  • For deserting the Forresters to serve a false queen.

  • I love that bit with Rodrik saying, "Our wood is hard."

  • Oh yeah! I think there is probably less living Forresters than Starks right now and that says something.

  • I think 1:53 is Royland and 2:22 is the Beast. Thanks for all the clips though it's interesting stuff

  • Says the biggest fan of the most unknown main villian of the entire story. Just joking.

I would have executed him for treason.

  • I thought that Malcolm episode 6 will return to Ironrath with the sellswords that Asher asked from Daenerys. But yeah I was wrong :(

  • main villain of the entire story

    You mean Catelyn Stark?

  • Not entirely sure about that second point, they may have clashed leadership wise.

  • No, because Asher never wanted to be lord in the first place

  • Exactly my point.

Yeah, the Forresters could have a SLIM chance of an alliance with Danny.. but Malcolm deserted his family when they needed him most. Elissa's blood is technically on his hands, since he would've done anything to save her.

For deserting the Forresters to serve a false queen.

  • I think if Malcolm would've played more of a part in the episodes 1-4, and made himself to be a fan favourite.. it'd would've been a good way for him to bow out and sacrifice his life to save Rodrik and Asher.. it would've been brilliant.
