Hello.

Just wondering abotu this becasue Majesco just announced this title for DS, but I see no where the Telltale name ? Is it or is it not the same game ?

And if it is not can they really have the same name that you give to your game ?

    hum okay.

I did not know much about card games, so I was thinking the title for texas hold'em was just like this. But in this case this title did not surprised me anymore.
  • I see what you mean, though, because some card games are trademarked. The only one's I can think of though would be like Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon and stuff. Of course, those aren't really gambling type games, at least not for professionals. ;)

I don't know if they could cram all the spoken lines in it. Otherwise, the gameplay would work really well with the touch screen and a pen.

The DS cards can hold quite a bit, but I'm not sure the DS can translate compressed audio files, so the audio might take up quite a bit of room. I'm sure the PSP could do it though. Also, the DS and PC(and psp) are quite different. The game would have to be totally recoded, I'm sure. That might take a much larger coding team or an outside company porting it. Consoles are not really "Indie" friendly.

It would be pretty cool though...if you could see the cards on those tiny screens that is.

The DS can do compressed audio just fine. That being said the more space you use raises the cost of the media so thats usually why developers leave out a lot of speech for handheld games. (The psp is another issue as the more you have to read off the disc the faster you kill the battery so devs are still frugle in what they choose to stream.)
