What do you think Telltale will do after BTTF and JP?

When Rise of the Pirate God was about to be released, I was thinking what's the next thing gonna be. I kinda sorta had the answer after finishing RotPG: New Sam & Max game in 2010. While waiting for The Devil's Playhouse I was thinking what's next in line. Later on the Universal deal was announced.

Now there haven't been any releases since the last S&M episode and we're waiting for Back to the Future and Poker Night to kick off. After that there will be Jurassic Park. So when all this is done and wrapped up, what's gonna be next?

  • They'll make a build a bear work shop.
  • As long as they continue monkey island and sam and max then I am happy! Most likely gonna do a actual season of puzzle agent but with telltale it's hard to tell. This is a company that I wouldn't be surprised if they made a social network game! They have creativity so no matter what it is I am excited.

But yeah I want some monkey and s&m love.

    Too much information. :p
  • I expect Monkey Island. They way they ended just begged for a Season 2. Though I'd also like more Puzzle Agent.
  • As much as I'd love a new season of Sam and Max (and pretty much feel that way as soon as the previous season ends), I'm crossing my fingers for more Tales of Monkey Island. That has to be my second favorite series they've done and enough time has passed at this point where I'm champing at the bit for a new one.
  • I'm not sure what they WILL do, but I'd *like* them to release a game based on a brand new IP that is just Telltale's.

A Dexter game would be brilliant, because...

-Telltale's chance to make a proper big-boy game with serious storylines that interweave and have proper emotional gravitas

-The nature of Dexter's "work" would lend itself well to adventure games, tracking people down, finding clues, finding clever ways to enter into property

-Hints could be delivered seamlessly using Dexter's trademark inner monologue

-That guy from the Telltale office who dressed as Dex would bum the idea
I'd say that'd be a bit too big-boy kinda concept for Telltale. Dexter is kinda like Ted Bundy helping in the pursuit of Gary Ridgway.

I think it's great they're doing familiar licences.
Why? Because some company has to do it. And TellTale has been one of the most succesful so far of turning licenced franchises into games. This is a very rare feat to accomplish.
I also think it generates extra publicity.

From what I've heard, Wallace and Gromit didn't do too good.
What have you heard? I've been looking for information on how that went.
