As someone else mentioned, I downloaded the save file that puzzlebox posted, got past the glass house, but now the detective and strickland are both missing. Will they reappear or should I just restart a new game?

I'm using the Steam version and with the save that was posted, I was able to get through the glass house but I cannot talk to Parker or Edna since they disappeared.

Even though the people here said you'd have to give the recording to Parker again, I actually didn't have to. The game went on as if I already did the phonebooth puzzle, and technically I DID. It's as if the two saves got crossed or something, even though I removed the old one. Very strange.
Point is, don't worry about it. I just finished the episode using this save.

Um, quick question (probably very obvious), but how do I use Puzzlebox's save file? I have a mac. Do I have to drag it into a folder somewhere?

Thanks to everyone who sent in save games. We think we've isolated the cause of the issue. Do NOT go into the glass house before you talk to the diver about where Emmet is. It seems very likely that this is what's causing the problem.
We're working on testing a fix for this and a few other reported issues right now. As soon as all the fixes are in and confirmed to work (an not to break anything else!), we'll be putting up a patched version of the game.
I don't have an exact ETA for this, but it's a very high priority for us. Rest assured, it'll be released as soon as possible.

Additionally, the very first exhibit I went into was the glass house, but I walked right back out because Emmett wasn't in there. I'm wondering if that's where this bug comes from.

that save file won't work for me. i renamed all my other save files to .bak and left that one there and it said i had no save games, so i renamed it to .save and when i try to load the save game it just sits there and never loads.

After encountering this bug, I started a new game from the beginning and I was able to progress once I made it back. The strange thing was that when I opened the yellow door, Marty walked through, then immediately sank through the floor. He emerged from behind the entertainment center, and I was able to progress normally. I'm not sure that's the intended behavior.
I was running OS X 10.6.7

This is. It's the exit to the glass house.

A new version was just posted which should fix the "can't click on anything" bug in the glass house. The bug is early in the game so please download and try this new version if you are stuck on this bug. We tested the heck out of the episode but somehow that particular bug was missed. The people on this thread helped us quickly identify and fix the bug. Please post back here if that new version does or doesn't fix the problem. Thanks & sorry for the inconvenience everyone.
