Telltale Autumn Sale

Gamescom 2011 Pictures!

edited August 2011 in General Chat
Hello everybody who couldn't join us (or doesn't remember), here's our selected selection of carefully selected photos. (Sorry Vainamoinen, somehow you didn't end up on any of the pictures... is it possible that you're a vampire?). Note that we took artistic liberties regarding chronology or actual events:

It's a hot summer day in Cologne.

What better thing to do than spending the day in a dark, crowded, sweaty, smelly, foggy huddle of nerds?

13103863.jpg
Two unknown, grumpy nerds taking the train to god knows where...

Mermaid is wearing a red wristband, indicating she's obviously a grown-up already (having access to all the violence and porn you could imagine).

One lanyard to bind them all!

69917277.jpg
Laserschwert's evil twin brother...

A fine piece of art.

Do want!

Yay!

A mighty pirate on his mighty way home.

Later that (or some other) day:

Majus eagerly waiting for goodies...

The goodies arrive!

97244318.jpg
Goodies for Mermaid :D

61273095.jpg
No goodies for Majus :(

56946614.jpg
I got to sign something for Mark! It's a mad world...

80845388.jpg
Now everyone's happy...

12438999.jpg
... even Majus. No goodies, but beer :)

75138754.jpg
That's the second biggest bottle of Vitamalz I've ever seen!

97294836.jpg
Honey, I'm home!

76959073.jpg
Laserschwert, Majus, Mermaid and Mark!
(also note Mermaid's freakishly long arm)

Thanks a bunch! And yes, I always try very hard to be the vampire and actually don't want to be in any picture posted online. I'm more of a grey eminence... you can see parts of me in the "signing" picture, that's about enough.

xspider has shot one of me while I was unsuspecting... may he be gentle... or be banned... ;)

/edit: WAIT!! Was that the ORIGINAL of Purcell's painting??? Damn, I knew there was at least one reason to go to the gamescom.

If Laserschwert has to sign it, there's actually only one explanation.

    ENJOY!

Looks like you guys had a marvellous time! Thanks for posting pics so we can all live it vicariously in retrospect.

How happy and balanced you are, such vibrations.

The coolest thing was actually having Mark (Darin) at my apartment, while we were playing "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood" via my HD-projector and getting somewhat of an interactive live developer commentary by him, although Mark was terribly tired from countless hours of interviews at the Con that day... thanks so much, man!!

That sounds awesome. Wish I could have been there! Could you share some of the anecdotes he mentioned?

Don't worry last year...he was late to the TTG Dinner but he did stay for the after party.
  • edited August 2011
Man... I want to make one of these TTG get togethers someday...

You and me both. I'm going to PAX next year if it kills me.
  • edited August 2011
I share the notions of PuzzleBox and IrishMile. I'll go to a convention lke PAX one year (but probably not next year) if it kills me too. If it doesn't kill me, I still might yet fulfill my dream of working for Telltale as either a Customer Support Assistant or entry-level Tester (preferably the latter). I'd still have to wait until my mid thirties though because I haven't begun the process of getting a green card yet.

This thread is dropping way too fast. Gotta make it a sticky or something.
  • edited August 2011
This thread boils down to one thing. Guybrush action figures.

I guess it was posted into the wrong section. :o
