Everyone loves Disney right? OF COURSE I AM RIGHT. So heres a thread (Im not calling the title "the Disney thread" cos that's just stupid am I right!)

So anyway my fave Disney movies are Lion King Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty all epic journeys with epic villians and memorable protagonists (the 3 fairy's are the protagonist in Sleeping Beauty not the price or princess and they are memroble). I also love Fantasia and there TV cartoons I also love Disney merchendice just wish it wasnt expensive as holy hell.

So what's your fave disney movies and what do you love and hate about it?

I suppose I should sit through the free movie I'll get when I buy my ticket to see Paperman.
Hopefully that will work out better for you than it did for me when I bought a ticket to see Runaway Brain.

Runaway Brain was excellent, A Kid in King Arthur's Court was... not.

Robin hood is alright, but I wouldn't say it was memorable or anything. The only thing that its known for is reusing animation to save a few bucks on the budget.
"not in Nottingham" is one of the best songs ever performed in a Disney film :D

That film is probably largely responsible for my choice in university. I love that film! Almost as much as "The Lion King" and "Pocahontas". Two films that I remember seeing for the first time (The first we got on VHS as soon as it came out. I remember coming home from school to it. The second I saw in the cinema. I was later bought pocahontas underwear. :D). I remember The Hunchback of Notre Dame coming out too (almost certainly to try and boost attendance at Disneyland Paris.).
  • I kind of grew up in an age where Disney focused less on animated films and more on Live action Films. Not that I haven't sat through quite a few of the classic animated features.

The animated films are usually good, but it's kind of hard for me to take them seriously, usually because the plot is the generic "princess meets and falls in love with the generic charming guy." Also, I got sick of Hakuna Matata pretty friggin' quickly.

Also, does anyone else remember watching the Disney Channel? You know, before they started showing... crap?
