Telltale Autumn Sale

Best ep. so far?

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
I'd say 2 > 3 > 1, imo. Though they're all great, and 2 + 3 are pretty darn close for me.

When I was just done with EP3 I thought it was the best thing ever. But when I played through EP1 and EP2 again I decided EP2 is the winner. It was the perfect mixture to me. EP1 was really good but it was more of an introduction and fell a bit short compared to 2 and 3.

    2>3>1

I think I would go with 2>3>1 as well :) If I have to grade them though they would all receive an excellent mark.

That's a tough one. My favourite scene is in episode three, but overall I have to say episode one. It established the characters well and I liked the variation in scenery.

long road ahead was more emotions than anything. starved for help was more about survival and how to work with the group. a new day well its a introduction to the series so yea. i picked ep. 2 because it had a good story or something that made me connect with the episode. ep. 3 also had a connection but it was more emotions than survival so yea Ep. 2 imo the better episode

    For me it was 1>2>3.
On episode 1 I was so excited what would happen and how my choices play out.
Episode 2 the whole plot about the St. Johns being cannibals was too obvious but it was still decent and the illusions of my choices was still somewhat believable.
Episode 3 with the death of Carley and Doug at the same situation and testing the "leaving with Lilly" after sticking to her for 100% of the time since the beginning of the game I realised how the choices have no impact at all, so it was by far the worst episode.

I don't care about EP4 or 5 anymore, just wanna see the ending of EP5.

Easily, far and away, episode 2 for me.

i think 2>3>1 but 2&3 are very close, but that may change because when i decided to do a full play through of all the episodes they felt different this time, its hard to say what felt different but it did

    3=2>1
I cannot really decide between the last two episodes. Ep. 2 and 3 were great. I just do not know which episode was better. Episode 1 was good too, but the two other episodes were definitely better.

3>2=1 In my opinion. This episode (3) was absolutely fantastic and I believe TTG really captured the spirit of "The Walking Dead". I'll never complain again about a release date. They're going to have a very hard time topping episode 3 for me, haha.

Found 1 the best and 3 the worst because they killed carley

    For me it's 2>3=1

2 had the most dilemmas and reasons for multiple playthroughs for me.

1 only really had Doug/Carley, and 3... I'm still not entirely sure but it was the easiest for me to handle, no real second guessing and I hadn't died once. Maybe I've gotten to know the characters enough to know where my allegiances lie by this point. It was still a great episode, just not really... challenging?

I love the point in episode 2, where Lee bursts into the dining room and shouts "It's People!" I really enjoyed episode 3 a lot, but the whole demented family, cannibals story line was just awesome.

Definitely the second episode. The third episode seemed too short and sad for me.

Episode 3 for me mainly because it was the first time a game really got to me emotionally.

3=2>1 for me. 1 was good, and while I figured out that they were cannibals halfway through 2, the choice in the meat locker and the brawl qith Andy in the rain were so epic. The first time I felt actually bad in the game. 3 showed just how bad things had gotten, with us seeing Macon for the first time since 1. My only gripe about 3 was that they should have put whoever you DIDN'T save from 1 in the pharmacy as a walker. My favorite part of 3 was when my hope died, right after Carley did.

    1, 3, 2

I am kinda weird in that the first part of the ZA is what appeals to me the most. I like watching the outbreak or whatever and how it impacts people. The early days are just my favorites. In this series that is still true. I think the combination of the systematic societal breakdown in conjunction with introducing the main characters who are just average people thrust into insanity is awesome to witness.

I didn't care much for the cannibalism theme of the second epi which is why I rated it last. I thought it would be much later realistically that people would turn to eating humans...not just within a couple of weeks or months of the catastrophe. Unless of course they had been eating people all along.

The 3rd epi still didn't outrank the 1st to me, but it was compelling and somewhat engaging.

I had an honest but negative remark that I removed because I'm usually better than that.

I found the COP-conversation right at the beginning of EP1 very cool. Wished there was more like that. Thats why I think EP1 was very good. The opening couldn't have been any better.

    Better and Better :D

Not say Number 1 is bad, they were all really good.

    3>1>2

I found episode three to be quite the shock. The deaths were sudden, especially since it were characters that I thought would NEVER die and in such a way. (Except for Carly/Doug).

I'm sure a lot of people would say that the choices we make don't matter but I'd like to think otherwise. We were able to save Duck/Carly/Doug in episode one, and the fact that they died later, makes sense to me. I mean, how boring would it be if we had the opportunity to save EVERY..single...character we liked?
Where would the drama come from, other then the bandit threat and the zombies? People DIE, and even more likely in a zombie apocalypse. I'm sad, but happy the characters died the way they did. It left me shocked, a bit depressed, and curious about how things can possibly get any worse. I can't say I don't wish that Carly/Duck/whatever Kenny's wife would have stayed at LEAST until episode four but eh.

Episode one was good because well, it was the first episode. It introduced us to a lot of interesting characters and I can't really say much else.

Episode two was kind of predictable. If you're open minded and like to think ahead, I think the family being cannibals and the fact that the last time Mark was seen was when the mother of the Saint Johns went to go "tend to" him, a.k.a chop him up. I mean, multiple "visitors" and luggage hidden in the barn, they were giving food to the bandits so how did they manage to have enough food with only one cow? simple. However...despite being easy to figure out (at least for me) It was very...action packed and suspenseful to say the least. [:

i'm very happy TWD was confirmed for a season two :D

I felt they were all equally good, they all showed a different variety of emotions. Well done.

Itd be 2, 1, 3 for me. I think the first two episodes were pretty much perfect and while I still think three was good, it was certainly lacking by comparison.

I think 3 is better than 1, which is better than 2.

3- Most emotionally rewarding of the 3 episodes so far.
1- Great introduction, superb zombie kills and moral decision making.
2- not enough zombies. Still well made, though.

    1, 3, 2

While Episode 1 was the gentle introduction, it did everything perfectly, setting up the characters, giving ethical choices, giving everything a realistic feel.

Episode 2 had potentially good setups that were mostly shown to be utterly pointless (Food, Jolene, car) and wrapped them around a B-Movie Nonsense storyline. Without the meatlocker scene, that episode is largely worthless.

Episode 3 is a bloodbath, too much to be quite honest because it ripped away everyone you care about apart from Clem and replaced them with "who cares" characters. It was at least well written, effective and shockingly grounded.

My concern going forward now is Episode 4 is returning to an Ep 2 style. The trailer makes it look like a Haunted Mansion/Experimental Lab crapfest with ninjas, obvious bad guys, horrible "key moment" quoting and a bloody ninja to top it off. Can't say I'm suprised it was written by the guy behind the God awful Book of Eli.

I haven't played episode 2 and 3 yet but I found episode 1 alright. Episode 2 and 3 I have downloaded but haven't played yet.

Although,Im sure ep 4 will be the best. :)

    Well i'm actually on 1>2>3

Carley was the person i liked most.. She always had my back, And just the fact that all the emotions between Lee and Carley were useless, really pisses me off!

And don't say. Carley were useless compared to Kenny and/or Lilly.

Who saved duck from getting bittin in episode 1?
Who saved Lee and Clem from the Walker in the drugstore.
Who actually cares about Lee no matter what?

    That's Carley.

Kenny and Lilly doesn't give a shit about Lee if you turn you back against them ONCE! Carley does.

I had more jaw-dropping OMG moments in three, but I really liked two as well. I want to say I like them all equally. xD

Yeah. Can't we just say this?
