My issue still isn't that characters died its that my investment in the whole group dynamic was pointless, and that the game just railroads you. So why try? Why pretend anything you does matters?
Unfortunately, that's the way this series is designed to be. You've either got the strength to overcome it, or you haven't. But I agree with you entirely.
  • Are you kidding me? My favorite character (beside Clem) was Carley. Even though she's dead, I want to finish the game. I want to know if Clem finds her parents.
  • If the game isn't gonna try why should I? Gonna be quiet from now on (I got all 5 as a package deal so I cant just not buy the last 2).

yeah, my favourite character was Kenny's family and that has 2/3 of it missing, and i want to finish it
  • Of course I'm gonna play!! Yeah it sucked that a lot of good characters died but the story is still very engaging and the quality of writing isn't something u see in many games.

Yeah Carley was my favorite alongside Lee and Clem but one person can't hold a game or show together. It's the sum of its parts that make it great :)
  • Characters die in zombie tales this is a pretty hard fact. I'm game to continue with no issues in that regard.
  • Do I like when a character dies? No. Do I think it's necessary? Yes.
People dieing are something we really needed, either in films or gaming. I'm not talking about those mindless thralls we kill in shoot em up games. No.

Making characters die tells us what is at stake. We always think "meh he's the protagonist, he's not gonna die". But when he does? Or anyone else? Yes, this is THE fresh air in entertainment!
  • Doug's send off was all I could ask for. He died protecting somebody, so at least his death wasn't pointless.

The fact that it gave me an excuse to ditch Lilly was an added bonus. Rest in peace, Doug.
  • Can we please get less enthusiastic options in this poll? I'm still playing, but I've never shouted "HELL YEAH" and done a kegstand with my homies.
  • So many topics about this. WHY Would anyone abandon a game in the middle? Why?
You deal with it, It's the walking dead. People die, People suffer.
