Generic 'Telltale should make...' thread

Was this ever discussed as a potential license? The book series is immensely popular and I guess the license isn't too expensive since the TV series bombed. The stories contain quite a bit of detective work and therefore could probably easily adapted into a computer game, probably as a kind of side story to the ongoing story arc - I mean, there are tons of novellas and short stories already.

  • I think they should buy Silent Hill from Konami. A Cabin in the Woods Game. A Ted Ga,e. and a Grumpy Cat Videogame!

  • What about a choice-driven, puzzle adventure based around Deathspank!?

I've played the first game and it is an out-and-out button basher but it would be interesting to see it play in a different way.

The original game was written by Ron Gilbert and so it's quite funny and very witty. Deathspank himself has a dry sense of humour, mixed with blunt hero egotism! The animation style is alright but I bet Telltale could improve on it.

There's Witches, Magic, Evil Chickens, Purple Thongs... what else do you need.

A Story??? Well, yeah, Telltale would need to invent a situation and a story.
I'm sure they could manage though!
  • Telltale should make..... sweet, sweet love to my wallet
  • I would say fringe but you can't say that without mentioning The X- Files that would be blaspheme. I've never seen Saw(not one), and I'm too much of a sissy to sit through The Exorcist. Absolutely no twilight movies. Maybe the Odyssey.

  • With Ash being in Poker Night 2, I would love to see them make an Evil Dead game! That series has the humor, drama and horror and I think TellTale could really do something cool with it. They could give us an official # 4 in the series much like I feel they did with Back to the Future.

  • I'm still down for a Sons of Anarchy game. Something like TWD or Fables but with a bit more of an open world.

That's probably something more suited to what Rockstar does, though.

  • Before I add my 2 to the discussion, has there been any input at all from TTG regarding this wishlist?

  • I would LOVE to see a Vampire: The Masquerade or Classic World of Darkness game be develoepd by Telltale Games. :) It would be awesome simply because the actual game is a table-top game taht relies soley on story and role-play (the supernatural powers are really a VERY nice bonus) Now, as for what TellTale Games can do with this kind of game, it can honestly take place in anytime period from the Dark Ages to The Vitorian Age to modern Los Angeles (that is if they plan for the game to be a spiritual successor in anyway to Trokia's (RIP) V:TM Bloodlines game from 2004) because there is alot of interesting lore that can be explored throughout the franchise. Though, that is of course if Telltale Games is interested in using the Classic World of Darkness or the new World of Darkness established lore as White Wolf had remade the entire series into a new one. Vampire: The Requiem (which is in the new World of Darkness) has alot more simplicity in terms of its characters and structure compared to how overly complex Vampire: The Masquerade was. The reasons why I would like to see the Classic World of Darkness be explored further is there is alot of potential that can still be used within the old established lore of the Classic World of Darkness (and the fact the game series is already already 20 years) and its about time to have a new vampire game that actually cares more about its plot and characters than just simply trying to be trendy. It could definitely work with the episodic format and could easily fit in with the morality system that TellTale is already used to by focusing on the progression of the plot and establishing of relationships with other characters. Since The Wolf Among Us seems to be doing well today from its first episode I think this would be a nice change of pace if the developers feel like expanding their talents further. Anyway, don't know if the main develoeprs will see this but if they do become aware of it, I would hope to see if they are interested. (This is especially true since there is a World of Darkness MMO that has been in the works for years now, so it would be nice if they hoped on board with that by following through with their own story-based game of the series)
