Telltale Autumn Sale

Be Realistic People- TellTale is.

Its Lilly. Not Kenny. If the Season 1 forum was any indication, people on these forums like to think TellTale is going to all a sudden shock you. They aren't. Atleast in the sense of being unrealistic. Kenny whichever way you choose, is dead. There has yet to be an instance in every episode and 400 days where TT decided to throw you an absolute unrealistic curveball. Clems reaction to seeing this person implies it is not Christa. Its Lilly. Pretty obvious if you ask me. If it is indeed Kenny I will unfortunately lose a lot of respect for TT because that is simply unrealistic that he survived that scenario. Just think about it. It would be a huge plot hole if Kenny just magically reappeared. And if it is him they better explain how he survived. Even then how on earth would he find the bandit group he's with now. If anything he would have went to Florida or somewhere else.

I understand there will be many more threads being made about how it is Kenny, etc or Lee coming back from the dead but its not. Its Lilly. If its not lily its some other minor character. Lily drove off and probably ran into the group of bandits and joined them.

its Lily. Not sure how much of a role she'll play in the remainder of the season. But just remember to be realistic, because telltale hasn't done anything yet to change that notion.

EDIT: I know Telltale has said they will explore Kennys fate. In my opinion, that means seeing him as a walker or his body somewhere. As mention above, Kenny being the person Clem sees at the end just would not fit!

**It has to be Lily or Christa (unlikely but would make the most sense) **

Could it be Kenny? Of course but there is no logical/ plausible way it can be and so telltale will have to create an unrealistic explanation for his being there.

Why it can't be Kenny?

  1. Kenny in either situation, but Ill focus mostly on the situation with Ben, is surrounded by walkers with no possible escape. For the alley, yes there are windows but the zombies were on top of him from both ways. No way he has time to punch it a boarded up window and escape.
  2. He has given up. Kenny was clearly depressed by Ducks and Katjas death, and justly so. When he locks himself in the alley saying "its something I gotta do" instead of simply shooting Ben and going with lee back up the ladder its proof that he gave up. He wanted to go out a hero.
  3. If he did indeed escape, why would he not meet up with the others, why would he head north, why would he join bandits... I mean there is no "fit

Lily fits the storyline perfectly. Drove away. Ran out of gas/ decided to get out of van. Joined bandits who were known to be in the area. Was headed North (opposite direction of Savanah) which is where Clem was planning to go with Christa. And yes, Clem would expect Lily to be dead- everyone she has ever met in the last 2 years has died. She drove away by herself with little gas. I as would anyone else in her shoes expect her to be dead.

  • Man, I agree. I believe and hope its Lily because I've wanted to see her again. Although the way it's set up, they are hoping people believe its Kenny just to crush those dreams. That's how I see it. Honestly I hope it isn't Kenny, I think I had enough of him in season 1. But yeah, I'm for team Lily, would be interesting to see what choice words she would throw at her after what she did to Carly. She never had her chance to say anything, and how she grown now...I'm sure she has something to say.

On a side-note. You know by saying unrealistic, that dog conversation will probably spill in here. Haha.

  • Personally I think its a better chance of being ken than lilly. Just her response "I thought you were dead" doesnt really fit with lilly because she was alive last time. While I agree with you kenny probably should be dead, I dont think it would be a plot hole if he comes back. Tyreese has come out of similar situations in the comic and tv show.

  • Telltale literally said that they were going to explore Kenny's fate in Season 2. Clementine also saw Lilly alive the last time they were together. There's almost no way it isn't Kenny.

  • True, but her reaction was (at least for me) in a tone of "I-thought-you-were-dead-because-I-havnt-seen-you" I mean its been what? 2+ years right? In a zombie apocalypse thats a long time. I would assume she died too. As Kenny remarked when she took the van I think it was something along the lines of that is barely had any gas in it and supplies.

  • Also, it wouldn't be ridiculous if Kenny got out of either situation he was in. We couldn't physically see the amount of zombies he was facing in either situation.

  • I actually forgot that tell tale said that. I agree there is a chance it is Kenny just based on that comment however I am still sticking firmly to Lily. I think you are forgetting that Clem wasn't there for Kennys "death." Even though we know what happened she never did. Lee never said anything to her afterwards about the group (except to meet with Omid and CHrista) So Clem also saw Kenny alive last time they were together.

  • Are you playing the same game I was playing? In the alley one there was literally 12+ zombies… ON EACH SIDE. Boxing him in. The only way out was a dumpster (according to what people who think he's alive say)

I can't wait until we finally run into a Kenny walker and get to shoot it in the face so that this argument can die.

I'm sure Omid and Christa would have told Clementine what happened to Kenny. Why would she go on not wondering about his absence? I'm sure Lilly will show up in the future, but the person Clem is referring to in the teaser is, almost without a doubt, Kenny. Maybe we'll even get some more Kenny/Lilly tension this season.

  • Never thought about Lilly. Do think it is Christa though.

  • But Clementine doesn't think Lilly is dead. In both situations she is just gone, never assumed dead, especially since this is before Clem really starts to 'shape up' so to speak into a more mature individual who might realize how unlikely Lilly's survival might have been (considering the being left behind option, at least.) Kenny Clem does think is dead, because we can assume he would have come up once she found Omid and Christa. ("Where's Kenny?" "Oh, sweetie, well, he...") No matter what they said to her, she could figure out for herself that Kenny was pretty definitely dead, or at least presumed dead.

I still don't think for sure that it will be Kenny, but I think it being Lilly is just as unlikely. Maybe Christa or even a character from the episode itself - or the last one; Nick or Pete? It can't be Omid and it can't be Lee, those two are for sure. And it being Lilly is definitely unlikely - at least in my own opinion.

  • thats the comic, kenny is no comic tyreese, that tyreese would rip kenny apart. molly even owns kenny if an old man make it out its unrealistic

  • I still like to think that Game Lily is compatible with Comics Lily despite Kirkman going back on his arrangement with Telltale and writing that book. Also Telltale said they will explore Kenny's fate, so therefore I pretty much think it has to be Kenny.

  • so Kenny survives the alleyway or the room/aparment full of walkers, and the horde in the city...then magically says you know what let me head north.. doesnt make sense

  • In a zombie apocalypse where Clem has seen so many people die everywhere; is it so hard to believe that maybe she thought Lily died? If I haven't seen someone in year or more where zombies are pretty much killing everything, I'd believe she was dead too. I'd think a lot of people I haven't seen in a while are dead, actually.

  • Certainly it is more likely to be Lily than Kenny. Lily has a much Much MUCH higher percentage of actually still being alive for one. Thats not even arguable. Two, she drove away from them and the direction of the train meaning she went North which is where the group currently is apparently. Three, as I mentioned above Clementine thinks Lily is dead because of the uncertainty of her fate. Four, you can't assume that (CHrista and imid telling her Kenny died) happened without Telltale telling us.

Just look at the storyline. The way Lily left almost writes itself that she will be back. The way Kenny leaves the group it is almost certain he died.

  • I don't think it would randomly be a St.Johns brother. I don't think she would be happy to see Lily either seeing as she killed Carla/Doug and then drove off. If it is Kenny, I think she would be happy to see him considering everything else.

It could literally be anyone from Season 1 who disappeared without actually dying and her reaction indicates she's not happy to see this person. It might well be Andy St John for all we know.

  • I still don't get why Clem would have thought that Lilly was dead, though.

Honestly, the more I go through the process of elimination, the more likely that it is Kenny. I really hope not, just so I can enjoy another round of the crying from Kenny fans, but I'm starting to think that none of the other options make nearly as much sense.

  • I think I remember it being pointed out that the alley was a similar or same alley to the one Lee is in before he ducks into the sewers. If Lee can do so it's at least a possibility that Kenny could have, though he doesn't have a tool like Lee did.

  • What about the woman at Hershel's farm?

Heck, maybe even Khatjaa. Kenny could have lied or something weird like that about her death. On second thought, almost definately not. nevermind.

However, people jump to Kenny, because one of the first things TellTale said about S2 is that Kennys "fate would be explored." That would have to imply that information is given directly about his death/non death. Which would have to come from Kenny, or somebody close to Kenny.

  • kenny is not lee.

Good point, Andy was a bad example. It was obviously Maybelle, the one and only true survivor.

I really really hope that it is her, because I am a super villain and my power source comes from the tears of Kenny fans. :(

  • I am. You are obviously not reading my other posts however. You are basing your argument over whether "off-camera" Clem asked what happened to Kenny to Christa and Omid. . . that is a very weak argument I hope we can agree on that. I am however basing my argument off what actually happened in the game.

  • Personally I don't think it becomes just a Kenny or Lilly battle.

I think it will be someone lame, like Winston or the girl in the bathroom. Having a named and voiced character die so quickly, despite being a Walking Dead story, seems odd.

If it is either of these then it paves the way for further conflict that Clem has to deal with, let bygones be bygones or hold on to distrust.

  • They will probably give him a reason as to why he moved north.

Seeing how Telltale teased us with Kenny's possible return in episode 1 by making Nick's clothes resemble Kenny's, I think this is another deliberate tease that will end up as an anticlimax. I'm guessing a character from the new group gets lost at some point, and presumed dead. only to turn up alive and well later in the story.

I want to believe it's Kenny/Lily/Christa too, but Telltale isn't into fanservice. They much prefer torturing their fans.

  • Once again you are arguing solely in "probables"
