  • In my game Lee was handcuffed, and I didn't want to put Clementine through the trauma of shooting someone she loved. Not asking her to shoot him was the last sacrifice Lee could make for her.
  • I was hoping for that option too, throughout the entire scene. I thought it's something she would have liked to hear. Picked "I'll miss you" since it was the closest thing.
  • I cried the entire second half of the episode. Like a baby.
  • Jane Jensen is my absolute favorite adventure game designer, so this is hugely exciting for me. For those who have backed the project, I'm curious which game you ended up voting for? I surprised myself by picking the Anglophile game. I love Jane…
  • If that's a frown, he has a HUGE chin! There's a little red dot under the "mustache" that I think is his mouth. Also everyone else has a red mouth, including Graham. (Although I'll admit it is a bit far from his nose to be a mustache...)
  • Back on topic? I can't find a picture of it, but Alexander has a mysterious mustache in the intro of KQ4. It always creeped me out.
  • Yes, and a few other indies. I'm a free agent. (When I'm not feverishly working on my novel, of course!)

  • I got off to a kind of unspectacular start yesterday. It's funny how even when you know exactly what needs to happen, it can be hard to get started. (Knowing can make it even harder!) Still, 1750 words so I met the daily goal. Only 29 days to go.

  • tredlow wrote: » Hmm... How many pages do you think 50,000 words are? Y'know, in average. Depends on your formatting, but it's around 160-175 pages. The first year I did NaNoWriMo my novel was just above 50k and it came to 170 pages. (Which…
  • I'm in! Last year I tried to write 50,000 words on the novel I was just starting on, and failed miserably. I was still figuring out what it was about and I don't think I was ready for that yet. 50,000 words in a month is an awful lot. (For me, anywa…

  • I watched it in college. It wasn't as funny as I'd thought it would be. Then again, in college a lot of things weren't as funny as I thought they'd be.
  • Well, bleh. I bought LittleBigPlanet during the downtime and I ended up not even liking it. I don't know anything about those other games... (Edit: After reading up on them a little I guess I'll get Infamous and Super Stardust.)

  • Congrats! Feels nice to be done, doesn't it?! After much revision my first book (which is what I was working on when I left Telltale) is as done as it's going to be, for now. I'm going the traditional publishing route -- which unfortunately mean…
  • Nice! I love that it's pixelated. Looks great.
  • I took the comment about the interview being "meant to calm raging fans for PR" as an implication that it was just lip service. Glad to hear that's not what you meant!
  • Despite this interview (meant to calm raging fans for PR)... Actually, the point was to get answers to questions that tons of fans are curious about. Not every King's Quest fan is enraged that Telltale has this license. A lot of people are ac…
  • Is it really that tough to have one screen where I can access all five parts? You mean like a launcher? All of Telltale's DVDs have included that. (And the BTTF downloads support it already.)
  • Essentially it's just like any of the thousands of video games that let you select which stage you want to play. It's not like that at all. It's actually more like any TV show that's released on DVD. A season of Lost isn't strung together int…
  • I saw Ron's talk at GDC (which according to Mixnmojo is very similar to the Germany talk, which I haven't watched). The whole talk was awesome, but I have to say my favorite part was when he said that they'd been working on Maniac Mansion for a year…
  • Haha, thanks. My blog had a spike in traffic from Telltale yesterday and I couldn't figure out why... I do still lurk from time to time. But a King's Quest revival with Telltale at the helm? I couldn't keep quiet on that.
  • But I have serious issues with her game design style, which quite often delighted in being needlessly cruel to players. Many of the elements that are now considered to be terrible gameplay conventions (random deaths, events that make the game…

  • The Erana's Peace theme is one of my favorites. I also love the Girl in the Tower theme from KQ6 -- both the instrumental from the game and the cheesy vocal version Sierra tried to get on the radio. I love some of the Gabriel Knight music but don…
  • I would also like to see Josh Mandel involved, if the stars aligned in that direction. I'm not sure if I'd lobby for Jane Jensen to work on a King's Quest game. I mean, I love KQ6 and I think a large part of why I love it is due to her involvemen…
  • I initially played King's Quest 5 without voices, and Cedric didn't bother me. Years later when I played the talkie version I realized why everyone hates him so much. It really makes a difference.
  • * Is it possible to get your game in an unwinnable state in the later games of the series (the ones that they didn't remake), or was that something that only plagued the early entries? That would be enough for me to not even try to start the later g…
