And I'm not sure how "construe" or "interpretation" only applies to a film thesis. So we're even. All I said was I don't see anything that directly points to it with what little attention Nick was given in this episode. That's it. I actually agree t…

Not necessarily. It's possible for him to avoid it if he's with others more willing to do so, like Nick.
-
Nope. Didn't trust him. I could try to explain away the beatings given that Carver was willing to kill a one-armed man for not cracking the whip (and I'm sure there were instances where Troy should've "disciplined" Clem but didn't) but I get the fee…

But he didn't even want to do that. Not once does he argue for an alternative way to kill Carver. How is tying him up for walkers to eat alive better? It's only a way to kill without doing it with his bare hands (which has scarier implications, IMO,…

Hmm, I only looked at the gate, I didn't try to fiddle with it (which seems to be what agitates Reggie) and I never spoke to Kenny either. Must of been a bug then.
-
Maybe it's my fondness for reading that's at work here but I don't see how the words are "big". It just seemed like an easier way to get my point across.
-
Right around the time you used the word "nihilistic"? Jokes aside, they're easy terms to understand. Or they should be if people like talking about a piece of fiction at length.
-
People can recover from leg injuries (depending on what it doesn't hit). That wouldn't be assurance that they were safe. But more importantly, Carver was manipulative. They leave him alive and he still has a whole community beholden to him to influe…

I just thought it was creepy and inappropriate. That actually bothered me more than the hitting (which seemed to be a code of conduct Carver enforced).
-
There's no need for you to compromise the plan as Clementine when that was obviously Luke's role.
-
To be fair, if he was against outright killing it's probably safe to say he couldn't stomach brutality either.
-
He didn't want to kill him. Not only does he hesitate when Rebecca says to shoot him but he'll jump at the chance to spare him if Clem suggests tying him up. If they wanted to get across that it was just about brutality he'd have advocated shooting …

It's possible they met up with Nick's mom after they escaped (Pete said he lost his sister recently, iirc). It'd probably help to specify that of course.
-
Even 'like' threads end up containing hate as people inevitably come around and resort to tearing down one character to elevate another.
-
Did you walk around looking at objects before you spoke to Kenny? For me, the story proceeded without talking to him. I managed to look at the objects around the room and talk to Nick, Sarah, and Rebecca. It made me think the hub was timed. But if t…

I suppose they could go the angle that Nick is developing a new outlook because Walter forgave him. Unfortunately, I can't construe what little dialogue we got in this episode towards that interpretation. Perhaps next episode.
-
Claiming he caused the episode to be rushed is implying a level of knowledge I doubt anyone outside of Telltale staff has. Some of the issues with the writing may come down to a lack of a communication between writers or editing mistakes (cutting th…

I didn't cry but it was touching and a better send off for his character than the episode 2 death. Still wish he had more screen time. Hopefully, they'll remember the mention about George and acknowledge it. I don't care if just comes down to Carver…

Come on...There are valid reasons not to like Luke beyond Cluke and Kenny. He's one of my favorites and even I see flaws with him.
-
They played the whole affair with Carver as a mistake; likely a one-time event. She still loved her husband at the end. It does seem a bit tongue in cheek but circumstances don't always allow these characters to stay true to their names.
-
I get the moth thing. It's the fire comparison I'm not on board with at least not regarding this chapter.
-
The moth motif being applied for this chapter makes me think Carver represents fire (not fire born). Both his affair with Rebecca and the way he recruits members can be seen as metaphors for a 'moth to the flame'. Though the most obvious connection …

You claimed his presentation was more controversial in season one and that now they're just painting him as some big hero. But the Carver scene is grossly at odds with that. It doesn't matter if some players are going "Badass!" when the game itself …
-
Carlos dead, Sarah gone to the wind, and Sarita bitten is not quite what I'd call working out. And again with people giving him credit for the guts idea.
-
That still doesn't answer the hero question. Everything with Kenny was to build up to that final scene with Carver which was definitely not your typical hero moment. And Luke "screwing up" because of exhaustion and hunger does not automatically elev…

Evaluate the characters on their own and in the context of the story. If you only judge them via comparisons to each other then it's just a matter of time before you find reason to consider one character lacking over the other. Just my opinion.
-
How exactly was Kenny too much of a hero? By being protective of those he cares about? Because that crowbar scene at the end was not portrayed as heroic. The plan he came up with wasn't too great either as it would've been dead in the water if not f…

I find I enjoy a story more when I don't assume I know where it's headed. The problem here seems to be your assumption on what Telltale's intent is. There's been all this talk about the 'inevitable' definitive choice between Kenny and Luke that it s…

I've been hoping for them to get closer so hopefully we'll see more bonding next episode once they (hopefully) get the chance to talk about Alvin's death. The baby finally coming would also be a good opportunity to bring up Christa and to revisit Re…

The game gives us an option to say "we don't have time" but the fact is they waste more time trying to talk Kenny and Rebecca out of it than the actual beat down itself. In the meantime, someone could've taken initiative and used the distraction out…
