Well there are certain less important events that are very different from the show and there is a lot more input about the characters thoughts so it's really a good idea to read the books. And you can enjoy situations like this:

Because I feel he is gonna die either way so you should just kill him or sth. I know that sounds rough, but I don't see that much of an emotional connection with AJ just because I liked his father (and hated his stupid mother).

Petyr Baelish because he is someone who would give this side story a real impact on something - which I would really like to happen. He didn't appear that much in the last book and that kinda sucked.
