A Brand New Season of Batman Begins Next Month!

posted by Scott Butterworth July 19th 2017

In case you missed our announcement earlier today, we have three earth-shattering, fan-servicing new series coming over the course of the next 18 months, and while you won’t see season four of The Walking Dead or season two of The Wolf Among Us until sometime next year, Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series starts next month. Episode one, ‘The Enigma,’ premieres August 8 on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Mac (and just a bit later on mobile). With that release date rapidly approaching, we wanted to share more details about the season ahead.

In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?

As with the rest of our games, you will have the option to carry over your decisions from season one into the upcoming season, though The Enemy Within should prove accessible to first-time players as well. The illustrious Troy Baker returns to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, and you can once again invite friends and family to help you make tough choices using our Crowd Play feature, which allows anyone with a connected mobile device to vote on every decision. Beyond that, you can expect trickier puzzles, tougher combat, and plenty of opportunities to make this Batman your own.

We’ll have more on Batman: The Enemy Within before it launches on August 8, but for now, check out these screenshots and consider pre-ordering the series through our online store. And don’t forget, Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series are both still going strong. Expect new episodes for both later next month. Until then, be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram so you don’t miss out on the other fun stuff we’re rolling out during Comic-Con this weekend.
