'Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two' Retail Disc Out Now in North America, Episode Three Now Available for Download, and New Language Packs Added

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., and STOCKHOLM, Sweden, September 19th, 2017 -- Award-winning developer and publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games and world-renowned game developer Mojang today shared three major additions to the Minecraft: Story Mode franchise.

First, Telltale and Mojang launched the third episode of Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two. The episode, entitled 'Jailhouse Block,' is now available for download on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Androidbased devices, as well as through Telltale's own online store.

Having bested The Admin's icy obstacles, Jesse and the gang are rewarded with a one-way trip to The Sunshine Institute, a nigh inescapable prison buried at the bottom of the world and filled with all manner of miscreants. In order to make it back home, Jesse has to find a way to break out, even if that means employing a few desperate measures...

Next, the series' Season Pass Disc for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is out now at retailers across North America, and will arrive on Xbox 360 on October 3. The disc is coming to European territories as well -- the PS4 and Xbox One versions hit store shelves in Europe on September 22, while the Xbox 360 disc will become available September 27. The disc contains episode one, 'Hero in Residence,' and grants digital access to each of the remaining four episodes as they become available.

Finally, players can now enjoy full German, Spanish, and French voice acting in Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two! These languages are available today in episode one, 'Hero in Residence,' and will be available for Episodes Two and Three later this week on all platforms with the exceptions of Xbox 360 and GOG.com - PC/Mac, which will receive language patches at a later date. Going forward, these languages will launch day and date with new episodes. In order to download and enable a new language, players simply need to navigate to "Languages" in the Settings menu and select from the options listed there.

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two continues Jesse's saga in a five-part, narrative-driven, episodic game series developed by Telltale in collaboration with Minecraft developer Mojang and members of the Minecraft community. This second season includes Telltale's unique multiplayer 'Crowd Play' feature, which allows friends and family to engage with the adventure together by helping to decide the direction of the story from any mobile device with an online connection.

This season features voice work from Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Ashley Johnson, and Scott Porter, as well as cameos from Stampy Cat, stacyplays, BigBStatz, and other personalities from the Minecraft community on YouTube. Additional casting details for the season are yet to be announced.

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two is a standalone product separate from both the core Minecraft game and season one of Minecraft: Story Mode. Season two will be available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices. Episode three has been rated 'Everyone 10+' by the ESRB.
