[PC] The Right Trigger on my Xbox One controller isn't working
From the Start menu, right-click on Computer and select Properties. Select Device Manager. Scroll to the bottom of the list – you should see Xbox Peripherals.
Click the arrow to expand this list – you should see ‘Microsoft Xbox One Controller’. If you see any other iteration, such as simply ‘Xbox Controller’, follow the steps below.
Right-click ‘Xbox Controller’ and select ‘Update Driver Software…’
Select the option to ‘Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer’ and click Next.
Select ‘Microsoft Xbox One Controller’ from the list of compatible hardware and click Next to return to Device Manager. Please note that this process could take a few minutes.
You should now see the name of your Xbox Peripheral update to ‘Microsoft Xbox One Controller’.
To verify the correct driver has been chosen, go to your Start menu and select Control Panel. Now select ‘Devices and Printers’. One of the devices listed should be a Controller. Right-click this option and select ‘Game controller settings’.
On the Game Controllers screen, select Properties.
Select the Test tab, which should look like this:
Your Xbox One controller should now be configured properly.
However, if the wrong driver was selected, the Test tab may look like this:
In this scenario, please retry the previous steps until the Z Axis, X Rotation, and Y Rotation are equal in length, and the only Axes shown on the Test tab.
