The Wolf Among Us
I can't log into my Telltale account when I launch the game
Restart the game. When you see the Log In window, type in your email address and account password. Then, instead of clicking Sign In with your mouse, press the Enter/Return Key on your keyboard.
If you are unable to type in your account information, try switching the game to windowed mode (press Alt+Enter for PC, or Command+F for Mac) while the game is running. Then try logging in again.
If you have played The Walking Dead and are now trying to play The Wolf Among Us or The Walking Dead: Season 2, but your account fails to log in, please select Sign Out, and log in again. If the game fails to authenticate, exit the game and relaunch it. You should be able to connect without having to log in.
If you continue to experience difficulties logging in, please open a command window and delete your registry key. To open a command window:
- On Windows XP: Open the Start menu and click Run. Type in "cmd" and press enter
- On Windows Vista / 7: Press the Windows key. Type in "cmd" and press enter
- On Windows 8: At the start screen, type in "cmd" and press enter
- On Windows 10: Type in "cmd" in the Cortana search bar and press enter
Copy the command line below below and paste it into the command window:
REG DELETE "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Telltale Games\Launcher”
Make sure when you copy the above text that you do not copy a space before or after the text, as that will produce an error message.
Press enter, then type Y to confirm the question you see. Press enter again to delete your registry. You should be able to log in the next time you launch the game.
Please also make sure that you do not have any special characters in your password (try using 0-9, a-z, and A-Z characters only). You can change your password on our website by logging into your Telltale account and going into your Settings page. When entering your password, make sure that you are using the proper capitalization (when necessary) in both your email address and your password.
